Now I never read any of the reactions to FW getting the game early on reddit and didn't really see anything on here because I don't have a PS4 or use my PC to game outside using emulators every now and then, so I was late to come into this thread and see the majority of what said here about it. I think the only reason I checked this thread was because someone posted about it in the Off-Topic thread or the greatest threads thread. Also I never even knew what the whole premise of the game was. All I remember from it was FW saying he was going to help anyone get games early anymore. And I never read any of Sean's reaction to the leaked gameplay but from reading in this thread about them it seems he was scared or pissed that someone got the game early. But after reading through the thread I got an understanding of what the game was about and I can't understand why going based off of Sean's description of the game the 18 quintillion planets and there being a great chance of you not seeing something someone else found why would he get mad that someone was showing early game footage? And I have never read any game developer get mad at consumers for breaking the release date and streaming early. The only thing they do is get the guy banned on his streaming site but I don't consider that them getting mad.

Re: No Man's Sky
My slight frustration is so far......to not hear a peep for over 2 months on a game that this developing team poured their lives into...bummer.
Do I care about the 47 bucks I paid for this game? Oh god no. It's not even remotely about that. I see great potential for this game. Seriously great things that can be added, expanded etc.
But I am getting the distinct feeling nothing more is coming. I truly hope to be wrong, as I would love nothing more than to pop this game back in with a content update and continue my journey. The 30 or so hours I had were actually very enjoyable.....I would love to get another 30-40 hours more with a fresh adventure and more purpose.
Have I been amused at these videos I have posted....Oh hell yes. It's comedy and light hearted fun. We are talking about video games right? I think of these games as my toys. I am being very light hearted about this. I never get "angry" about video games. That's just silly. I did use a hyperbole term "bamboozled" but it was used in a very loose way. I just find it incredible how the communication from Hello Games has gone dark for months now......I am hoping for true content updates still.
The wait continues...........Last edited by Armor and Sword; 10-08-2016, 04:54 PM.Now Playing on PS5:

Re: No Man's Sky
Really? 19 days ago Hello Games released Version 1.09, @ 733MB for the PS4 and PC. I invite you to go back to that date and reread if any information was posted regarding this. Whether this update were useful or not, wouldn't you think this forum would have benefited more with useful discussions about it?Comment

Re: No Man's Sky
I think Sony put a muzzle on him honestly. He has shown he has the ability to totally put his foot in his mouth.
I don't think this was a scam by any stretch, but he has a lot in common with Moneleux (sp).
The only thing I found totally wrong is his dancing around the grey area of multiplayer. There was NEVER a chance to actual see another player, but he made less informed people make it seem like there was a chance.
There are multiple videos about this.

Re: No Man's Sky
Wouldn't call the game an outright scam. But that ending to the game is the biggest slap in the face in the history of games. Like damn, could it be more insulting?Comment

Re: No Man's Sky
I won't say that the ending didn't infuriate some people. Heck, I was let down too. But let me play devils advocate for a second. Those who went straight to the center with little regard to exploring, took nearly 40 hours to accomplish that. I've played about 30 hours when I left it, and was still in my original solar system. Not sure what kind of ending I'm hoping for. A message? A revelation possibly? The game feels incomplete and maybe Hello Games can make changes or add contents regarding that. But how many hours does a game need to be before you say that it was $60 worth? And how do you have an end game about exploration - especially, the universe?Comment

Re: No Man's Sky
Yeah I fully agree that it is a troll job. Maybe not intentionally, but I agree with biggest slap in the face ever considering that the whole deal was "getting to the center." I understand what you are saying Picci but wasn't it marketed that "we have to find what is at the center!" I mean correct me if I am wrong.
I have to believe that something just went wrong. Maybe they ran out of time. I would just love to hear all about it.
EDIT
Maybe I am wrong about the marketing around the center but I feel like, at the very least, there was some sort of tagline about something special being thereLast edited by The JareBear; 10-08-2016, 02:40 PM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: No Man's Sky
The game was misrepresented and they took $60 for a $20 game, and people really believe a tweet two months ago about working on an update .
This is why developers get away with releasing crap. I have no clue how anyone can justify these guys and the game in any shape or form considering how big of a con the game turned out being and waited how long for a patch that may make it somewhat closer to what they lied about in the first place?
I own the game and I would gladly come on here after some time, since there's not been an update to change the game, and say save your $60 you'll be very dissapointed if you pay the full $60.

Anyway, I'd like to elaborate on why it feels like this game has been abandoned. (At no point have I called it a scam) The whole situation just reminds me of a game that came out on PC a while ago. Radio silence is never a good thing when it comes to this sort of thing. At the very least they could give updates on what they're working on. A short tweet with a screenshot is all it takes and it takes 30 seconds to do something like that.
For anyone interested in the game I'm comparing No Man's Sky to:
(Keep in mind this dev also claimed to be still working on the game)TOUCHDOWN MSU!!!

Re: No Man's Sky
This is exactly the type of disappointing thing to read. Rather than say, "hey, you know, you're right, if you like the game, have fun playing it."
Instead it's more of the same.
"Lol, prove it. They stole our money."

Until they flat out say what they are working on, when to expect what, etc. then I will be pessimistic with this game because that's how I was pre-release and everything I expected was pretty much spot on.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
