Would be interesting if that was also why it was this summer, if MS announced Windows Mixed Reality for the Xbox platform w No Man's Sky leading the way.

Sean Murray rubs me the wrong way, but it’s pretty amazing they are still releasing patches for this game. I can’t imagine a lot of people are still playing.

Re: No Man's Sky
I'll most likely crank open this in July again and start off where I left off. It will feel like a new game with all the new features. As much as I like Elite Dangerous and its realism, there's the simplicity about this game that ED just didn't equal to in fun for me.
As for who's still playing? Not sure how many PS4 players are still engaged in it but steam shows a small number.

I'm really thinking about picking this up again. Returned it at launch with the whole fiasco. But its looking really good and need a space game really bad.In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: No Man's Sky
Its been awhile since I played. After watching this video I'm looking forward to this new update coming in 3 weeks. Sounds like we can shoot and destroy in multi-player.
Creating race tracks in worlds we discover and having players come join in sounds incredibly fun. It truly looks like a different game. Lots of new info reported in by Pretty Good Gaming.

Re: No Man's Sky
I only ever put 20ish hours into the game and that was before most of the major updates, but am I alone in losing interest just because of how ridiculous some of the life in the game can be? I was hoping that it would be a little different, nothing too complex, but I was expecting certain features to be present due to "evolving" in certain environments. Giant, jumping mushrooms that yell just takes me out of the game and so does half of the ridiculousness I saw on the planets.
Sounds silly to type out since there is so much more to the game now, but I just cannot ever get past it whenever I tried to fire this up again. I loved things like learning languages and whatnot, but maybe I was expecting too much out of the organic side of the game.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
