    Re: No Man's Sky

For me, I'll wait until the game is released and watch some gameplay before I render a judgement. I know mining and trade will be key elements but I'm really interested to see how deep combat is. It it's just aim and hold down the shoot button then I'll be disappointed but I'll wait until the game is released.

At the moment people are rendering judgments without having seen the finished product.

But the guy is playing the finished product and has told us a great number of disappointing things about the game. Some of which are bad bugs, and some of which make Sean Murray out to be sort of disingenuous. I think its fair to make some judgement.

I mean....I am not trying to be the party pooper but the guy has the retail version.....I mean its the real game. The game we will all buy off the shelf or download from the online store.

Of course there will be patches and whatnot, but the bottom line is there are things about the game that clearly don't quite match up with a lot of the talk and hype from the fanbase leading up to release.

As for the combat, I mean, I guess you'll see when the game comes out. I'll leave it at that

          On a more positive note.

Do you guys have a system you are gonna use for naming life and planets? I typically use names of places and characters from my favorite books.

                Re: No Man's Sky

At this point in gaming, I am not surprised anymore when there are glitches and other bugs in games. It doesn't matter if they have betas where gamers play to their hearts content. **** will always slip by and have to be patched later on. The main thing these days is how fast do the developers patch the game.

                  Re: No Man's Sky

Update 2: The mod post is back but they now claim that the post was authored by anonymous sources Update: The mod on Reddit has since removed the post. It appears we’ve another major No Man’s Sky story to bring to you today. You probably know by now that a user got his hands on the game early and leaked gameplay and posted his impressions. The NMS subreddit went into disarray and we now have the latest developments. Moderator’s conspiracy – *based on conjecture* Let’s have a look at what we’ve found questionable and approach them objectively: GAMEPLAY Game crashed constantly, Sean stated PS4 version crashed a lot so they used PCs copy on Colbert (?) Leveling happened backwards, common devtool (?) Ship was same used on demo copies (see images below) Multi-tool was same used on demo copies (see images below) Planets closer together for demo, maybe mentioned by Sean on demo (?) Sean mentioned hundreds of hours needed to reach real center unaided, July 28th leak took 30hrs Trophies awarded, but not visible in PSN trophies The player never died Ability to fast gain currency seems like devtool Planets don’t get more alien towards the center to hide surprises in game release How is he receiving messages from other players on psn playing an unreleased game, which probably wouldn’t work as there would probably be a block on playing it. “All ships can do all things” meant for demo Free fuel (devtool?) Game breaking bugs found in game that are obvious, probably wouldn’t be found in “gold copy” All planets seem to have some degree of life, contradicting the 90/10/10 rule. PHYSICAL UNBOXING Game suspiciously removed from package Inner booklet same as Uncharted 4 inner booklet with old release date Finger prints on disc suggest altered disk MISC EVIDENCE (?) assumption: Sean Murray has asked people to not view the leaks, hinting towards him saying the copy being leaked is not final Leaked videos being striked by Sony Interactive America (SIAE) When loading a message that reads “Remember: Use of this software is subject to the Software Usage Terms at eu.playstation.com/legal” appears. Possible to be part of a beta/test copy. Possibility the disc is a stolen copy from: E3 Japan (Dengeki) demo Possible American demo that never happened Other demos (I forget them all) Image Proofs [SPOILERS]: Ship: German Magazine: http://i.imgur.com/2FPIFik.jpg Dengeki Demo: http://i.imgur.com/XIz5dDQ.jpg July 28th leak: https://i.imgur.com/0hKqFMJ.jpg Multi-tool: Dengeki Demo: http://i.imgur.com/uPKrhuD.jpg July 28th leak: http://imgur.com/a/va917 Booklet inside the case showing the old June 21 release date: http://i.imgur.com/5aPbDRd.png Original Seller Gonna end all speculation and you all can choose to believe it or not. I sold the game and no it was not a “Testers Copy”. It was retail and I lucked up and purchased it. The game was opened when I purchased it. I bought it from a seller who put it up on eBay. He lived 90 minutes from me and we met. The game was opened and there was no leaflets so I took the NMS leaflet from another game I had and put it in the case. Never thought some could determine a fake from that lol. Fellas I don’t know what else to say. Some or the rumors and accusations are mind-boggling. Some of he stories I’m reading from these gaming sites are totally false. I sold the game for $1250 plus shipping. My listing was for $2000 or obo. This is it in a nutshell. I have a very good reputation over at Operation Sports and for those that know me know I’m a straight up honest guy who has always gotten games early off eBay/Craigslist or retail store that flat out sold the game. I played the game for about an hour or so before the offer came in. I accepted and that’s how this all went down I put the extra paper in when I shipped it. Amazing how so many want to discredit that it’s real. Amazing. I have over 10 years over at Operation Sports. No way I ruin my good name with a fake. Also I’m not in the business of scamming people for profit It’s something that’s happened plenty of times where games have released early to some smaller stores and people have managed to get their hands on it early. In this situation, I’m inclined to side with the original seller but we’ll update you once we have more information. CDKeys are having a huge sale currently on PS4, Xbox One, and PC codes check them out HERE. some of their best deals include Halo The Master Chief Collection Xbox One code for $7.99/£5.29! Assassin’s Creed Unity Xbox One code for $2.01/£1.59, 12 months of PlayStation Plus for just $39.99/£29.99! and 12 months of Xbox Live for only $42/£29.99. Make sure to check these deals and more at CDKeys.

Camp you getting hit up for interviews? LOL

Wow, this whole deal has been so amazing. Considering getting Madden early is something celebrated on OS every year it amazes me that so many people don't understand how common it is for someone to be able to break street date with big games.

Conspiracy theories? LOL, wtf is happening!

You guys who have been waiting for this game and reading as much as you can, having your expectations lowered may be the best thing for you. Always tough to live up to the hype.

I agree 100%. I am glad I know these things now. More of a chance for me to be impressed now, than before, since I have pretty dramatically lowered expectations currently

                        https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTh...at_the_leaked/

These guys just don't know of CAMP, or just how good OS is at scoring early copies of games, and how long they've been doing it.

Annual "The Hunt" threads have been a staple here for over a decade.

I just don't understand fanboyism. Trying to insist a game is what they want it to be, and refuse to allow for the possibility that it is good—just something else that some people may find disappointing.

Out of all the stuff on Reddit, this is the narrative that I understand the least. People over there seemingly have never heard of getting a game early before....the denial and conspiracy theories are out of this world

Wow, this thread is jumping.....Been reading and I think I have an idea. Is all this information coming from 1 person that Camp sold his copy to? I know titles get released early but are we talking about this 1 guy only? Are there others saying the same thing?

I've stayed away from other sources so I don't know what's been said.

Been and still on blackout for the most part. Expectations are extremely tempered. They are for just about every game now the past 10+ years.

Never was a fan of hyping. I'm excited to play. Watching stuff like Cosmos, Oblivion, Europa Report, etc., during the anticipation to play and explore. Nothing more.
