For console settlement building is there a way to select all items anchored together. For example if I snap three wall pieces together is there a way to pick them all up at once on the console (ps4 in particular)

Re: Fallout 4
SpoilerI'm actually doing their questline now. I think they're the way to go. Only one's I trust to turn the commonwealth around.
This could all change though further I get into the questline. I just got to meet their leader and run a couple quests.Comment

Try holding down the button that picks up items instead of just tapping it. I think I read that makes it pick up all things joined.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Usually a trip to look for "X" turns into a "let's go into Y and clear the building out!"
Though I ran into a hospital or something just filled with something too tough for me so holding off for later.Last edited by mgoblue; 12-14-2015, 03:55 PM.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Fallout 4
SpoilerYeah, they have the resources to run the Commonwealth, but they would kill Hancock and Nicky V on sight. Can't have that. I'm in the Institute and have done one of the missions and talked to all the people down there. I for sure am going to have nothing to do with the BoS going forward. In fact, I already shot down a Vertibird that was harassing the courser I did the first Institute mission with. Who I go with will be decided by how the Institute missions go.Comment

Re: Fallout 4
My thoughts on the factions so far (haven't beaten the game, close to running out of missions for the three factions without aggroing some other faction though):
Spoiler
Minutemen: Noble ideals, but not a good solution. Basically being a peacekeeping force, they let places like Covenant and the strife within Diamond City (synth panic and paranoia) thrive
Brotherhood of Steel: Already covered this, but while a future with them would be mostly peaceful, it would be a harsh regime. This BoS is waaaay too Enclave, all genocide and oppression.
Railroad: On the surface they seem noble, rescue slaves and all, but they are really pretty diabolical. They take synths who yearn to be free, completely wipe their memories and personalities, which I found pretty abhorrent. Are you really freeing someone if you wipe everything that made them who they are? They then set them loose on the wasteland and don't care what these things get up to. They don't have a great respect for anybody, they have a tunnel vision motive and don't care about anyone or anything else.
Institute: These guys definitely do a lot of evil, but IMO they serve as the greatest option to create a stable Commonwealth. You cut out the experimenting on the surface, get rid of the hyper secrecy, and I think everybody can benefit from what the institute does. There are definitely people within the institute that feel that way, but I doubt the game lets you explore that direction.
Ultimately, I will choose Institute I think, and just in my mind know my sole survivor will implement these changes after the credits roll.Comment

Re: Fallout 4
SpoilerI have Piper now, and on the quest to get Nick (who I think I'll like more for his hacking....
if I give them armor and equip it then they'll wear it, right? they just may not look as snazzy as what they do now? Piper kinda dies pretty fast on me now.
I have a few instances I've run into that I want to clear once I have someone other than Dogmeat, who was just a pack mule for me.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Fallout 4
Spoiler
I like the gun you get from Danse after the ArcJet place, a laser gun that is a good backup.
I sneak around the wasteland using a Night Scoped Rifle I found that uses the ammo I have the most of. Not as good damage as another sniper but I only have 100ish of that ammo.
Otherwise I use a Vicious Shotgun for up close and a pistol I've modded for 10mm ammo plunking.
I need to get the Gun Nut 2 and a few other upgrades so I can make even better stuff, but right now I'm trying to get my sneak/ninja up first
