Was going to post a very similar comment. Just not a fan of it. I might give this one a chance since I've passed on BOPS 2 and Ghost though.HATE LOSING MORE THAN I LOVE WINNING!

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
I know WW2 games were forced down our throats for years, but I think we are finally in a place with gaming that we can afford to go back there again.
It's the only way I'm legitimately going to give a **** about a campaign again and it may not balance weapons and gadgets completely, but at least it eliminates the possibility of a lot of it and puts the outcome back with the gamer's skill..Last edited by AUChase; 05-05-2014, 04:56 AM.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Chances are Sledgehammer has had about close to three years the develop this game from the ground up. From the looks of the trailer it seems like they've finally ditched the old and out dated Unreal engine they've been using for years and are using something different.
I'm not super excited about this game but I'm intrigued because Activision is calling them a true next gen experience. We will see what happens when they show off gameplay at E3.

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
None of the CoD games use the Unreal engine. Infinity Ward way back when, started with the Q3A engine and built on that. They're all still running off that engine to this day.
If Sledgehammer has the talent at that studio to build a new engine, I'll be pleasantly surprised, but a new engine doesn't automatically equal better.
I'm hoping this is a good game, the shooter genre has fallen off a cliff with the exception of Titanfall.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Yeah, I have played this one on my PC, but never finished it. It was a good game, though. I think there was a Vietcong 2 game, which I didn't play, but from gameplay videos it didn't look as good as the first one maybe except for graphics. My Specs:

GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB

Every game studio has started out exactly like Sledgehammer is. Bungie was here at one time, Naughty Dog was here at one time, Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Capcom, Rockstar, etc. I'm not necessarily worried all too much. They do after all have experience developing a Call of Duty game so I'd imagine they know what to expect.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

I don't have much negative to say about it, other than it will be COD...
I will give the benefit of the doubt until released.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Visually it looks good, but I'm disappointed that they've gone in the futuristic direction. Not surprised though. Would much rather COD go back to WWII, or even another Black Ops that's set just in the 70s or 80s. Can only see me getting this if people I play with get it, just not into futuristic games. Would love to see a COD 4 remake one day!Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Holy crap, I made it almost halfway through the trailer and boy did it look stupid. I remember when they were using eminem in a COD trailer and I said to my wife, "There are 2 things that were better about 10 years ago". Never thought I'd be that correct. When I first played MW, I felt a connection to the character. I enjoyed the storyline and even some of the missions were varied enough to where you got a feel for every branch in the game. MW2 felt like they hired some cheesy C-movie producer to make a military film. I never played MW3's campaign but the online was a step back. I hope FPS's crash and burn so they can go back to being games again instead of who can put more splodeys where.PSN:BrrbisBrrComment

Thought this might interest some folks here....

The COD: Advanced Warfare PS4 version will be the “definitive” one for consoles. While the footage used in the recently released trailer was taken from the Xbox One, insiders have claimed that the PlayStation 4 version will be the one the developers prefer.
Could this mean that Activision and Sledgehammer Games have already decided the winner of the Xbox One vs PS4 debate this early in the console cycle? The trailer definitely shows that they have put a lot more effort into the visuals than they did with COD: Ghosts, so it’s obvious that they’re learning to use the technology better.
This is simple proof that as developers familiarize themselves with the new consoles, the games will get better and look more advanced. It happens with every generation.
Apparently COD: Advanced Warfare on PS4 will prove that Microsoft’s machine is inferior to the one from Sony. It may be true that the 1080p capabilities are easier to use on the PlayStation 4, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is expected to reflect that.
In a recent statement from industry insider Ahsan Rasheed, the developers from Infinity Ward will use the PlayStation 4 more at home, having shown a preference toward it:
“Also I want to say one thing to all the Xbox One fans that keep telling me COD is X1 lead platform. It’s not. It’s a marketing deal. Here’s the part you should pay attention to. Developers inside Infinity Ward prefer the PS4. Majority will use it to play at home. Put that inside your head. The developers who made the game. Majority will play the game on PS4 at home with friends.”
In case you’re thinking that Infinity Ward is not Sledgehammer, and therefore the statement is irrelevant for the next game, Rasheed added, “So cute. If you think the PS4 version won’t be the definitive console version technically, I have some bad news.”
According to the developers at Activision, Sledgehammer’s COD: Advanced Warfare PS4 version will be the one they’re focusing on. Score another point for Sony in the PS4 vs Xbox One console war.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment
