I think if Ghost wasn't that bad when it came to MP. I believe it would have done a whole lot better. But far as the bottom falling of COD. Don't count on it. I still love COD. But hated Ghost and can't stand it and MW3 was just ok. But MW2, BO1&2 I love the most. All 3 of them are fun to play. So long as SH keeps the cloaking, scaling the wall Titanfall crap out of MP then I will be happy. A long with making better maps then Ghost had. Way to many perks and bad maps and horrible spawns what killed Ghost for me overall. But if SH can go back to the traditional fun of COD while updating a lot things and not trying make it look and feel like Titanfall in MP. I'm fine with the game. But the min people can scale the wall like a fly and jump 10 feet in the air like in Halo and using cloaking as a perk. The game be comes dead to me at that point. That would kill the game right then and there.

I agree with the other guy. Them going to far in the future and trying to create something that has yet to happen is kind of dumb. I mean I don't want to go back in the WW1 or2 era. More like something in the 80s or 90s. Because I like to have the modern guns like the Ghalil or something like BO1. But SH is taking it to a whole new level. this year. Hopefully Treyarch keeps with it's path and take up where it left in BO2 into BO3. People loves Treyarch more then anything. I do 2. Ever since MW2 IW has drop the ball. Hoping COD:AW is good. All I want to see right now is some MP. I doubt we see it in June at E3. MP usually don't get shown until August or Sept. But hopefully we get a taste of it in June at E3. That's all I ask right now.

        Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

I'm finally going to sit one out. I feel like they've gotten worse and worse with each release. MW1 was by far the best, WAW was fantastic and BO1 was good. (Hated MW2) even COD3 was a blast and one of the most fun games I've ever played online. I love WWII and it pains me to see COD getting even further from that time frame. None of these games have had memorable moments in the story and I just skip them these days.

EVERYONE. remembers All Ghillied Up, I can't tell you a memorable part of a campaign since World at War

          Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

In my opinion people only think the game is worse because they have played the same game(COD) nearly a decade in a row

By that I mean people are just burn out in it. There for they notice it's screw ups more and more because the game is just not as fun when they played the first few way back then. It's kinda like when a big company gives a game you really enjoyed a low score, but hey you yourself liked it and really enjoyed and didn't notice it's flaws like they did.

Not saying COD is anywhere near perfect but maybe someone gets what I mean

Maybe true for over all gaming but in the new systems PS4(30k-50k) has more players then Xbox 1(16k-33k). If they're developing for the new systems doesn't it make sense if they prioritize the system with the larger base?

I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

No, CoD has actually gotten considerably worse over the years.

CoD4 was the best one by far, in terms of an all around game.

WaW was awful. Almost everyone just went back to CoD4 for another year, this game sold really poorly.

MW2 was still really good(ran REALLY well online, the best in the series in terms of netcode), but that was around the same time Activision wasn't paying people at IW and the studio leads ended up getting fired, and most of the development team quit shortly afterwards. That led to the game never receiving proper support, so lots of balance problems and bugs remained in the game. Still a great game though.

Black Ops 1 was bad, mostly because they did two really stupid things. They took out Stopping Power but left Cold Blooded in the game, which unbalances the entire game. The biggest sin was they introduced "lag compensation" into the game, which still haunts CoD to this day.

MW3 was awful. Nothing redeeming about this game, pure money grab.

Black Ops 2 was actually a really good all around game, but it still ran terrible online because of lag compensation. Whoever thought making everyone laggy all the time was a good idea should be taken out back and shot.

Ghosts was awful again. Who is left at IW making games? The janitors? Seriously. I'm so happy I only rented this game to make sure it was bad.

Until they stop releasing CoD games that run terrible online, I don't know why anyone would buy them. Seems to me an important part of online shooters is latency, but maybe I'm crazy.

There is more to Black Ops than just multiplayer. The campaign in either black ops game was hands down the best, and the zombie co-op game is some of the most fun gaming I ever had next gen. If you judge by only multiplayer play then you are selling the game short.

Id be fine with that? Or do another crimea war? Which is currently in the works in real life and I hope doesnt happen but you get the point. Considering this will be the 2nd one.

I'll admit I do not play single player in CoD. In my opinion you could just rent the game if thats what you want to play. Zombies is alright. I think it gets boring quickly because you have to play for an hour before it gets challenging at all.

Swamp, you can like whichever CoD you want. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. But there are things that are undeniable. The fact is, Treyarch built lag into CoD starting with either WaW or Black Ops 1, and thats terrible game design no matter what way you look at it. If you don't believe me, just watch this video:

This guy has a horrible voice and its a little boring, but its very enlightening.

The problem is, no matter what they do with the game, millions of people will still buy it! COD 4 was the best by far, it was simple, no OP killstreaks obviously and none of this 'lag comp' stuff. Just can't see the franchise getting anywhere close to how good it used to be! It's just a money grab now.

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

I'm convinced CoD will never be what it was because of the lag comp. that and it's gotten a bit stale. It seems like it gets laggier every year. I just wanna see some decent maps like ghosts had. BO2's were horrible. My definition of a bad map basically means a very small map with predictable routes and tons of spawn killing. Ghosts actually made some larger maps even though half the time I'm dying before I can even react which us incredibly frustrating.

Every cod has had issues. Cod 4 had piss poor hit detection, WaW's servers made the game nearly unplayable they got overloaded. MW2 had everyone and their mom camping with secondary AA12's and grenade launchers, and the rest have had to deal with lag comp which has seemed to be turned up more and more each year.

Still, it's these last 2 Cods that have really killed it for me. Every iteration before I had a blast on, issues or not. Zombies is great, but the campaigns have been dead for a while. I'm sure I'll buy the next one and be disappointed.

I think they are slightly better than those in BO2 due to over all larger size but they suffer the same problem of over-complication.

It also didn't help the player movement was ridiculously fast and the spawns were broken.

B02 was like the perfect storm of connection punishment. If yours wasn't perfect you were pretty much screwed because there was no where to go and no where to hide and the enemy could be right on top of you within about 3 seconds no matter where on the map you were put.
