Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
And that is why I am pretty much done with the series. Because far more people agree with you than me. I like a little intelligence in my game. Not just everyone running around at mach 5 like chickens with their heads cut off. To me the faster the games get the more boring they are.Comment

I agree, it's a shame that the Ghost Recon games were not more popular. More strategic , more to do. Not just run and gun. That's why I prefer Battlefield over the Call of Duty games for online play. Call of Duty is practically Halo now online.Comment

This game will all be about the spawns for me.
Ghosts spawns are just atrocious.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
The problem is, no matter what they do with the game, millions of people will still buy it! COD 4 was the best by far, it was simple, no OP killstreaks obviously and none of this 'lag comp' stuff. Just can't see the franchise getting anywhere close to how good it used to be! It's just a money grab now.
Don't wait up for it. They'll be even worse in the new one. Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse... SURPRISE *Insert Developer* breaks the game even more. And you would think with three teams splitting the duties, at least one of the frauds would get it right.Originally posted by OriolesfanRD Favorite Teams- Baltimore Ravens

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
BO2 followed the same design for maps that IW set in CoD4 and MW2, I was pretty happy with it. Ghosts map design is just totally chaos. Throw the terrible spawn system on top of that and you're going to get a lot of frustrating deaths.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
The maps have got worse with every game, liked nearly every map on COD 4 apart from 2, whereas Ghosts I like maybe 2 or 3! Spawns are awful, and that's an understatement. You'd think they'd try and fix it somehow via a patch but no.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
In my dream world, they would release a CoD with all the maps from CoD4, MW2, and you can even throw in the BO2 maps. Use the MW2 engine, with some of the perks either taken out or rebalanced(I'm looking at you, one man army), and you'd have an unbelievable game. Around the same time that happens I'll gain the ability to fly....Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
I want a remake of Dome and Castle from WaW. Wouldn't mins Asylum too. WaW is one of my favorite Call of Duty's.
Maps in that game were perfect.

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
I don't see that at all. BO2 has so many tiny maps with predictable routes, too many straight narrow sightlines. I guess if you're one of those that likes high action like nuketown. Traditional Sniping was pretty much dead for 3 years until ghosts made some bigger maps. I agree about spawns. They've never been worse. You can spawn 2 feet away from an enemy around a corner. It's ridiculous.Student of the game. #Fundamentals

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Actually my playstyle is to slow the game down and trap the other team in their spawn. I don't really like nuketown.
Back when IW was staffed by all the people that are at Respawn now, the traditional CoD map design was basically three paths, two on the outside, one up the middle, with a path cutting through the middle of the map.
Obviously thats a little bit simplistic, but when you look at all the maps in the three games I mentioned, they mostly follow that design.
The maps in ghosts look like someone threw a grenade into a building and just copied what followed. They're not good, and like we agree on, they're made considerably worse by the spawns.Last edited by Trevelyan; 05-30-2014, 02:24 AM.Comment
