Re: Bloodborne
That does seem a little low. But its not so much that its low as much as you need to do chalice dungeons. Or well you dont NEED to do them but the gems you can get from there make a world of difference. I went into my NG+ at level 100 with 3 +27% physical damage gems from chalice dungeons. They help tremendously. Also did you find the blood rock at the end of NG to +10 your weapon? Thats helps as well.Comment

Re: Bloodborne
Hey Bloodborne vets, finally decided to take the plunge and play this game...I've had it since release, but for some reason didn't play it until now.
My question is are there any pros/cons to playing online or offline? Not sure which one to pick or is it the same experience?
ThanksComment

Playing online will enable the ability to co-op (obviously) but you'll also see "notes" spread around the world which are generally helpful tips/hints from people.

Re: Bloodborne
I recommend playing it off line the first time through. Watching notes and ghosts of other player hunters ruins the first playthrough for me. The second time I played the game on new game plus I went online and was much better for co op and pvp

Re: Bloodborne
How do you save your progress in this game? I just started playing an hour and a half ago and made it up to the bridge/overpass that has two dog like enemies on it and died. Now, im near the beginning and worse, I have to fight all the enemies that I already defeated. Is the entire game like this? Where are the save points?Comment

Basically
You need to light the lamps. The lamps appear after you defeat a boss.

There are lanterns that act as checkpoints and allow you to return to the hub area, but they are few and far between. There are also usually shortcuts you can open as you progress through an area (gates and elevators, and I think a locked door or two in the first area) that will allow you to quickly get back to where you were, if you die.
You need to activate both the lanterns and the shortcuts before you can use them.Comment

Re: Bloodborne
Welcome to From Software games. Enjoy your stay. I'm hesitant to explain this because it kind of goes against the spirit of these kinds of games, but getting frustrated right off the start really sucks.

Having to go through all the enemies I defeated already repeatedly if I die and having to do what's required in order to save the progress im making isn't a good thing to get newbies like me into the game. Camera, controls and combat isn't helping me either.
What's worse is that I realize that there's no in-game manual or controller configuration diagram which is horrible especially when there's no manual/booklet nowadays. UGH.Comment

Re: Bloodborne
Jeez. I don't mind saving manually but having to find/light a lamp and the short cuts just to save progress is ridiculous. Never played any of the Souls games whatsoever and it's the first time im actually playing Bloodborne since I tried it out at launch.

Trust me man, when you beat your first boss, it will click. This game is far and away my favorite game on the PS4, and this is coming from someone who was in the same boat as you when I first started it up.Comment
