Re: Overwatch
In a game of attack on Lijang Tower map, we were down 0-1 (first game we got trounced) and were losing about 76% yesterday in game two when I switched from being Mercy to 76 and we came back and won the match.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: Overwatch
So last night I "no-life'd" this game has Mikenoob once said and played from midnight to 9 am. All day yesterday I was adding everyone I found who had mics, prolly added about 13 people...
(Side note, I didn't realize this until yesterday but you can hit start once IN MATCH, go to social, and change your chat setting from group to team if you're not a full 6. This made a world of difference as different groups couldn't hear each other talking before.)
So late night two of those guys were on snd we meshed well play style wise. They were a little, well, "young." One guy was always hitting the bong and would say things like "Gang Gang!" after we did somethin good or "slurp slurp" as he was pouring coffee. It was interesting. Good players tho.
We just kept winning tho so I couldn't stop. Wins are so hard to come by in a non-regular 6 man crew life like mine. I got up to level 60, they were in mid 60s and then we started played some really great teams. Lost two to end the night, fell to 58 but still felt decent about it.
I started playing matchup oriented instead of KDA oriented and it started paying off. Especially with tanking, I started using a lot of D.va and Roadhog and was able to be very helpful to the squad in tough matches. D.va especially, and in the end the numbers ended up being great too so it all works out. I even started using Winston to shut down annoying tracers and it was a nice feeling having a specific purpose like that."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Overwatch
Sorry if this has been answered as I have yet to read through these pages but is the skill rating based all off wins and losses? Seems no matter what you did in a match if you lost you go down in rank if you lose
Once I healed around 30k(may not have been that high but it was up there) during a long match with Mercy on fire almost all match and I still dropped. I'm not saying I'm some great player but it sure seems like it's based all off winning or losing

Re: Overwatch
Think of him as a totem. Everyone around him gets his bonus. Move too far away and you don't get the bonus. Lose line of sight on Lucio, and you don't get the bonus.
He has two bonus modes: healing and speed. You switch between them based on your role and/or situation. As Lucio, you want to be in the thick of the action near your tank and dps guys so they can passively heal/speed up while in battle. You're not a mercy who needs to fly around the map healing every single body in peril, one by one.
His R1 (ps4) turns up the volume on his bonuses for 3 seconds. They become more effective. You do this when the battle is getting extra intense or you fear some of your guys are near death. Also do it in anticipation of the other team mounting a strong attack.
His gun shoots in bursts of 4. Not too much damage but he chips while your dps teammates finishes them off. His alt fire is a force push, to get people off the point, push people off cliffs, or just push people away from Lucio so he can survive (road hog chains).
His Ult is similar to Zenyatta. It gives everyone like 300 shield for a couple seconds. You do that to give your squad extra hit points during key fights. Also something you do in anticipation of your enemy. Like hearing a "FIRE IN THE HOLE" from a Junkrat.
Then he has his mobility. He can skate on walls. This is extra helpful for his survivability and makes him pretty obnoxious on KotH maps where he can single handedly hold a point with sneaky wall riding.
He can be more complicated, but these are the basics.Comment

Re: Overwatch
Went through the first 5 placement matches in competitive went 2-3.
No complaints about competitive so far:
-Going solo you are expected to lose more often
-Most teams grouped up with mics live beat me
-It is clear when a team is coordinating against you and literally night in day if your coordinate with your team
Outside of those things I think my only advice to myself and others is to try your best to remain calm during the matches. The minute you start raging you make mistakes. Some matches are lost after the first round not saying you gotta accept the L but just mindful that your team is being outplayed."ITS SO FLUFFY!!!">:DComment

Re: Overwatch
Haven't won a match in about 2 hours.
Back down to lvl 51 rank.
Guess I'm just not a high caliber player. I really wanted to be good at this game. It's disheartening. You lose rank so fast. When you do win a match there's a decent chance someone on the other team rage quits after round 1, which honestly I kind of understand why it happens now, and you get minimal XP gain
I've been on teams trying to defend with no tanks or healers and I just shake my head and try not to break something
I guess I take it too seriously. Maybe I can change my mindset and have more fun going forward.
Definitely been humbled. Oh wellLast edited by The JareBear; 07-06-2016, 03:30 AM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Overwatch
Got the undying thropy yesterday with man this game is crazy hard though
The issue I have is I can't find a way to win games only won 3 so far it looks as if I'm never gonna get the golden weapons for all the heroes I want.
The thing I hate is 1 point per a 1 seriously with how badly designed & small the maps are making it almost impossible to get to the objective when there too much camping making it impossible to win
They should reward more points for wins & other in game accomplishments would help make up for the lack of wins hope they make the much needed changes soon... thx

Overwatch
Has anyone completed all the achievements/trophies for this game? I usually don't worry much about them but I'm so into this game I really wanna try to lol
But some seem damn near impossible...... Epically Rapid Discord- Get 4 kills or assist with Zenyattas Orb of Dicord within 6 seconds. The dang ball alone take half a second to reach a target
Others like The Floor is Lava, Waste Not Want Not, and maybe Anger Management
I have nearly all the rest
Edit I take that back I don't have nearly all them but around 40 of them done. I just don't use McCree, or Genji all that often

Re: Overwatch
On voting cards, do you guys vote for yourself? I usually wait til the very end to decide who to vote for unless someone was obviously awesome or made an awesome play. If someone is close to 5 or 10 that deserves it, I vote for them otherwise I don't vote usually.
The 3 times I vote for myself, are a. I had a rare game where I was legitimately awesome and was proud of my performance (maybe once in 10 or more games) b. People are voting for me and I a vote away from 5 or 10 or the most votes c. I have received a lone vote from someone. It looks like I voted for myself, so I add a vote.
What about you guys. Are you shameless?
I've opened about 65 loot boxes and the most I have for a character is about 15. Seems like that'll take me a year to get.
The Lucio wall-ride one might be tough also, but I dont really know exactly what to do or where I could wall ride that long, unless it was a triple enviro-kill.
I feel like I could probably get the rest if I played the characters that I typically don't play.Last edited by CC; 07-06-2016, 12:07 PM.Comment
