I use basically anything. Those friends I played with tonight use Curse, OS guys I've played with use Discord, I have another set of friends who use Mumble. I have a small library of VOIP programs installed lol

Yeah I've got vent from my WoW days, teamspeak from various things, discord now, will look into curse and mumble to complete the collection.

I use to pay for a teamspeak server for couple years but since discord has come out I dropped TS and moved 100% only to discord. Its simplicity to jump between channels and plus being free was the reason I changed over.

Finally picked this and played for a while last night.

Found myself gravitating towards Widowmaker. First game I went 12-4 and the next went 19-1. Games after that went very similar. I have fun trying to find new vantage points to where I am protected.

Who are you guys using and why? Being new to this game I really have no idea what the benefit of everyone is.

Encountered 5 soldiers with a Lucio the other day... Wow is that strong. I'm not sure how to fight it. 5 roadhog with a healer maybe?

Saw an article today showing skepticism that ranked play would launch to live served by the end of the month. I'll be pretty disappointed if that's true, but their concerns were well justified. Apparently the tie break mechanic still receive a lot of complaints. Think I'll hop on the test real this weekend to see what all the fuss is about

Yeah, I figured Zarya would be key to something like this because of her ability to soak up damage and then send it right back. Turrets just feed her barrier (and maybe her ult too?).

I will definitely be on and looking for the PC guys tonight.

Zarya is one of the characters that I've tried to use a couple times that I just have no freakin idea what I am doing despite reading strategies and whatnot. Along with Winston and Genji. I see people doing great with them, but I am so so so bad. The rest I can at least do half decent, though I'm less competent than I should be with many characters.

Zarya probably has one of the highest skill ceilings in the game. She's tough to use so for people using her for the first few times, she can feel nearly useless. Her weapon is very week without any charge, her barriers only last 2 seconds so they have to be timed very well to soak up damage, and her ult isn't very strong solo.

But, once you get the hang of her she's one of the best characters in the game. A well timed ult combined with Pharah, Reaper, McCree, Junkrat, and Hanzo can team wipe. And if you get her charged up her DPS is insane. A fully charged beam will melt through anyone.

I read that it's 150 DPS when fully charged, which is the same as a fully charged Widowmaker body shot. And it's a constant stream.

It's devastating, and if she's protected in any way while she's firing it (Rein's shield, her own temporary barrier, a supporting Mercy or Lucio) the other team is going to fall fast.

I have been playing more of her and becoming one of my gotos .

I have some games where I struggle but man the games where I'm locked in and playing well she can really clean up an area and stay alive with right timing of shields.

She definitely makes quick work of bastion for me
