How's comp so far for u PC guys? I'm jealous

I really like the structure and how you can win a round.

For instance, say you start on defense first and you hold the attacking team from taking the first point. Then it flips and your attacking, if you take the first point the match ends in a win.

Overtimes are handled much better also, only saw 1 last night.

Games can both take less time and in most cases take longer to get through if teams are evenly matched. I have noticed already alot more negativity.

Amazingly had a few placement matches with people trotting torbjorn on offense on KOTH maps. Needless to say those went very poorly.

I prefer the modes where there is a central point like domination.

I had a round last 10 minutes because of constant OT. Mei would run in and freeze herself for the rest of the team to get there...quite funny.

You can mute all chat on PC too - text and voice. Press P (by default) and click the text bubble - looking buttons next to group and/or team. Voice can be muted individually on that screen too.

I went 4-6 in my placements, ended up at rank 40. I don't know what that means, other than a higher number equals a higher rank, but it's not like Blizzard's other games where you can easily identify ranks (bronze, silver, gold, etc).

I think the competitive format is fun. The OT thing is kinda fun but favors attackers heavily. You only play one match with your current team so whether you like your teammates or not, you get entirely new ones the next round.

I got trolled pretty hard in three of my six losses. One map we were attacking on Anubis and had offensive Bastion and Hanzo, both of whom stayed far behind the objective and did nothing to help capture it. I was hoping that in competitive people wouldn't troll as much and you wouldn't see the Hanzo mains picking him regardless of it the situation dictates it or not, but, I was wrong. If I'm going to get trolled in competitive, I may as well just stick to quick play.

The required level to play competitive is 25, but it really should be higher. I got stuck with a few level 26 and 27 people that clearly had very little clue about how to approach certain situations. Think I'll do what I can to earn the golden gun and then stop with competitive altogether.

If there is one thing I have seen it is that some people will pick Widowmaker or Hanzo no matter what the situation. They pick one of them every single time no matter what and won't switch. Sucks

Heard that Blizzard are looking at possible changes for Zenyatta after he was picked ZERO times at the most recent major tournament (around 9000 heroes selected).

I'm hopeful as he is my most played character. It's unfortunate that Zen is completely outclassed by Lucio and Mercy. They have better mobility, healing and ultimate while Zen can only really offer high damage output.

Yeah I like Zen a lot. I don't use him enough. I hope he is buffed

I've seen a lot of complaining about how the ranking system works. Any feedback from those who have logged some time in ranked play?
