I went to GTA V PS3 midnight release. Got there at like 10:30, and played KillZone: Mercenary on my Vita till they opened the doors. I think I was like fourth in line.

Some guys handed out GTA V T-shirts for the first dozen or so people in line, and then Zippos or posters based on answering a trivia question correctly (I correctly answered that Nico Bellic is from Serbia and got a Zippo).

I played that game until 6:00 AM, then had to get ready for work. I didn't feel great, but I did at the same time. Looking at that map while the game was installing was helping pass the time.

I don't think my Best Buy does midnight releases anymore either. You're right, that might have been the last one.

I have never went to a midnight release for a game or console before so I am not even sure like what for or if they even do midnight release where I am at but I am sure it depends on how big the city/town is on if they do midnight or not. How big of a place is your BB? Where my BB is the town is only a population of around 16000.

I live in a college town now (>50,000 pop) so there's plenty of people. Not sure if this was a corporate change or new management locally. Midnight releases can be fun if you get stuck with a decent crowd.

That sounds like a better time than I had. I went to Gamestop for the midnight release (only place you could buy the CE), but Best Buy was essentially right next door and I could see the line. Unrelated, but that's the last time I even step foot in a Gamestop. I don't recall the store doing anything interesting.

question, i have a $25 gift certificate. do i have to use all of it when i use it or do i have the choice of using only some of it?

i only want to use $10 on nba 2k18. im gonna get wwe 2k18 deluxe edition and i would rather use most of it on that.

You're still getting $25 off whether you use it on one or both games. It probably feels better to not pay full price for both but the result is the same.

If the certificate is already issued, you have to use it all at once.

i called them and the guy said i could only use a portion of it if i want but i dont believe him and i think your right.

but what if you used your gift certificate to pay the remaining balance of a purchase and you still had some left over? shouldnt you be able to still use that remaining portion on another purchase or does it all just disappear?

Theoretically, it would all disappear. I think they actually kind of stop you from making the transaction, or tell you to add more items to the transaction for it to go through.

I just bought a game on the Best Buy app and they offered me a $1 off to pick it up in the store instead of shipping it. I had to go to Best Buy tomorrow anyway so I took advantage of the $1 off. Haven’t seen that before.
