I have a question as I am considering this. Just a little background first....from what I have read Amazon is not doing release day physical copies with the 20% off pre order bonus. And you can't get the 20% off on digital. Now if I am wrong about the above statement I would love to know as I only found this in a few digital pre order Q&A's on Amazon, so I don't know how factual that is.

Anyways, if the above is factual I will be signing up for Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked. The description on their website is horrible but from what I have gathered you get 20% off new games on release day and for a select few $10.

My question is does this apply online pre-orders that will be shipped to your house on release day? Also how do you know if eligible for the extra $10?

Yes it applies online as long as you're signed in and most games dont have that 10 dollar reward just some

From what I heard best way is to sign up in store as doing via website has a ton of issue and never activates. (Remember all my info is from Reviews on Best Buy)

Yes, you get it release day with that discount.

Besides that, 20% off applies to every video game (non pre-orders). Even when games go on sale, an extra 20% is applied. You also accumulate points with each purchase which go toward $5 gift cards by default.

And yes, register in-store.

Yes but then you still have to go in store to activate it. So might as well take the trip to the store and purchase there.

No you don't, you can do it online, this started around a year ago. It's like a digital download code that you apply to your account

Yea but if you read the reviews on Best Buy seems like a lot of bad experiences going all online which lead to a trip to store or multiple phone calls for some.

I just took the trip down and signed up in store.
