Ok fellas, I just left the Great White. Everythings completed(races too) except for the 1 scavenge location far south in Parch Moon. Now to clear out all of Dead Barrens Pink eye territory. I'll post what tips and tricks I find here.

My goodnees, the Thunderpoon is no joke. The Jaw is easy, too easy. Once you defeat it, a GutGash Wasteland mission appears. I think its the far south scavenge, heading to confirm. That's a nope. Master shiv reversals, and melee reversal executions are saw-weet.


Tip 1. Equip Dune Cup/Slick Rub tires. Less roads up here, more sand. You'll be off road a lot.

WOW, the camps in the Barrens are no freaking joke. These guys got freaking sickles, and Thundersticks. 4 outta 5 skulls difficulty. I got beat down atleast 3 times, and Im Road Warrior level 37. Level up guys... level up.

Up to this point I've been having great success but I just ran into some goons inside a mountain and I was mopped up instantly. I raged quit lol

Hehe you mean the arena in Proving grounds. I told you in earlier post its tough. You gotta go thru about 30 guys before the boss jumps down. Good luck. Its gets even harder in the Barrens..


The Barrens are not fair at all. All the cars up here have level 2 armor, and they are SUPER tough to destroy. the best tip I can give is to drive to a rock cliff, get out the car. that'll make the enemies get out to fight. Taking cars out up here without Drop Kicker is POINTLESS. Its a freaking must. Im driving a Drop Kicker up here now just to defeat this impenetrable convoy in Knit Sack.

I'm sorry for turning this thread into a FAQ, but I have one (hopefully last) more question.
In one of the looting sites, I see loot ontop of a beached boat. It doesn't look like there is a ladder or anything to climb.
How do I get to that loot?

I believe this loot location is in the 'middle' map, north of Chumbucket's lair and south of Jeet's map.
It's a boat that appears to be broken apart and there's a chain that runs between the two halves.
Where the steering wheel is, there's loot. But I can't seem to reach it.

LOL! No worries. I was actually thinking about parking my car beside it to climb up there.
But then I saw a car driving by and decided to hand out some road justice and lost my train of thought, hahaha.

Nah, im good bud. I have died nine times total. Two were mistimed "jumps" and at least five were on a camp where you had to do an "epic jump" to get to it in Jeet's territory. I have no problem if I die but it won't be easy to kill me. All of Max's abilities for melee and from Griffa are all maxed out. Magnum Opus wise, im almost maxed out but I realize that has more to do with the story and wasteland missions than anything else.

Nice. Happy to hear that the game is getting harder. I'm Road Warrior level 12 or 13 but im still in Gutgash's territory and will be a while until I get to Pink Eye's territory. And I love thundersticks. They're awesome.

I haven't been to the Proving Grounds yet but if it's as tough as you say, that makes me happy because since early on, the game has become easy for me. Can't wait to get to the Barrens but it's going to be a while before I do. Either way, if the difficulty increases, I'll be happy when I get there.

Mad Max is so damn good. For those who have been to camps or any area in general that has a ladder that needs to be kicked down when standing next to it, you can actually use the Magnum Opus's Harpoon to bring down the ladder. So cool.

Lol you're the type that's gotta do things the hard way(nothing wrong with that). See the pict below of convoy in the Barren. The cars are silver in color = heavily armored. Sometimes level 2, which mean they have 2 health bars. 1st bar is whitish in color, then when you whittle that down, there's the 2nd which is green. These cars are more aggressive in their attacks, which is fun too. Its just faster to use the Drop Kicker, no trying to pull armor off cars 1 by 1. If the main convoy gets too far away, the cars you destroyed respawn. Let me know how this goes for you when you get here..

Also found a few secret scavenger locals outside the map.
