Any DLC planned for this game? Pretty much cleaned it out aside from scavenging in the Dunes (could not find some scrap in one of the story missions and doesnt seem like i can get back in the area)

I can't confirm this, but it sure looks like its set up for DLC. All of the open area on the map around the sections that you play in (big nothing?) are just ripe for additions.

Man, this Please Drive Faster challenge will not work for me. Its the last thing stopping me from plat. Been trying a few days now, at the highway east to west and at the dune to Pink eye road.

Finished Mad Max...over 100 hours with everything completed except for the Vehicle Collection. Good ending sequence and solid story. I enjoyed the game completely from beginning to end. A few negatives but way more positives and easily the most fun that I have had with any of the 15 games I have completed this generation. Would love Mad Max 2 as there's so much more stuff that Avalanche can do with this franchise. Overall, a 9/10 in my opinion.

I don't know gents, I'm thinking that I'm not going to make it through to the end of this. There's just so many random things I want to do but can't . I knocked out two of the earlier convoy missions and learned that its pretty much done. I thought that maybe it would repopulate but with no big rewards where you can just play around chasing random convoys but it doesn't seem like thats the case.

It would be completely against the goal of the story to have them repopulate.

But maybe a sandbox mode would be nice.

This actually looks pretty good. Definitely seems cut from the same cloth as Shadow of Mordor with the desolate open world and the Batman style combat system. Definitely on my radar now.

Been following this thread...but did not get the game as I thought it would flop badly (as most movie based games tend to do). I am always reluctant to buy games that will flop as they end up getting little post release support.


Sales figures today show it has sold VERY well though.


I think I will get this...only thing stopping me is that Fallout 4 comes out soon and I do not have time for two non sports games.

It sold pretty good and user scores/reviews have been far better than critic scores/reviews. I was hoping that it would chart in the top five but charting 8th is pretty damn good all things considered.

Aside from the name and Max losing his wife and daughter, there's really no connection to the movies at all. Best thing about the game is that you feel like you're in the Mad Max universe. Game isn't perfect but in my opinion, it's this year's Mordor but better and a lot more fun. For anyone who likes open world games, the Batman melee system (which is actually more high impact in this game and has wrestling moves once you upgrade Max) and car combat which is by far and away the best since Twisted Metal 2 on PSone, I highly recommend this game.

As for post release content, as of right now, there's nothing planned but in a way, that's a good thing because DLC tends to lower the quality of the game. I completed the game in 110 hours at almost 100% so depending on how much time you spend playing games, you could end up playing and completing the game before Fallout 4 releases.

Either way, definitely worth playing.

That's a shame as Mad Max is easily worth playing and by far, a lot more fun than all of those sports games in my opinion. Must admit that im happy im a very casual sports gamer because back when I was a sports gaming nut, I missed out on so many good to great games. Now, I'll play Madden for a week or so and that's it but even that game, I skipped this year because between Mad Max, MGSV and Madden 16, the decision was very easy to make.

I have been and always will be a sports gamer first and foremost. But I love video games period.

That's cool. After all, we're on operation SPORTS. LOL.

Just for me, I can't play sports games like I did a long time ago especially since im extremely anal when it comes to rosters and ratings. I used to spend more time editing M13 and NBA 2K11 than I did playing it and after a while, I was like, WTF am I doing? That was a huge turning point for me.

Enjoy what you're playing and if/when you play Mad Max, let me know how you like the game.

Yeah, it came in eighth which is very good and the sales are said to be around the 400K mark but no confirmation on that. Was really hoping that Mad Max was going to be in the top five but those damn sports games!!!!! LOL.
