I'm currently working on the Hunter's Lodge quest and finishing up the Hunting trials. I had to do a double take in the Hunter's Lodge, though. I swear the first guy you talk to is the same voice as Vesemir from The Witcher. After talking to the main ******* Sun Hawk I swear I heard Geralt at the bar asking for another beer.

You're right on both. Geralt does several random npc. Eskel's voice actor is in there too as random npcs.

do you get trophies for finding all data and recordings, etc...?

No, I'm hunting those down for funsies. I keep finding neat stuff. Before I started new game+ on ultra hard I looked up the complete trophy list on Google. All allies was a bit elusive.

I defeated the Rockmaw in the quarry and my first Thunderjaw last night. Those were fun. The Thunderjaw wasn't too bad after I used his two disc shooters on him. I ended him with a shot to the heart after freezing him.

Welp. I completed all the hunting trials and have the three Hunter's Lodge weapons. The hunting grounds north of Meridian was interesting. Using the two ravagers and taking down the thunderjaw took awhile, but the other two were fairly easy.

Are the hunting weapons that much better than the top of the line ones you get from merchants? I'm not sure I want to grind for them if they don't really make a difference for the final battle.

The differences are negligible being between 5-10 points in difference. You get the Ropecaster, War Bow, and Blast Sling for completing all 15 trials and earning Blazing Suns. I'm not sure which one you get if you only have 15 half or full suns, though.

Just completed the game last night on Hard difficulty, last quest was fun! Going back to try and get all trophies, have 4 left to get

Are the hunting weapons that much better than the top of the line ones you get from merchants? I'm not sure I want to grind for them if they don't really make a difference for the final battle.

I sold mine. I use the expensive weapons from merchants with 4 mod slots.

Got my platinum last night! Last trophy was the knocking over of the machine dummies, harder than I thought, tuff to wander and try find them! Can't wait for the DLC!

Do the standard hunting Lodge weapons you get have 3 or 4 mod slots? Mine have 4, but I won them on ultra hard new game+. I was thinking Lodge weapons first go around only had 3 slots.

Are the Shadow Carja weapons the top level? All of mine are 3 slots.

I think they are along with hunting lodge weapons. if you do new game plus there are standard and hunting lodge weapons with 4 slots. Their is also new versions of the heavy outfits that have an additional mod slot.
