Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Finished this little gem today. Level 50 and 92% complete. Spent over 80 hours playing. Probably the longest time I have ever spent in a game. Definitely ranks high on the all time game list!

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Let me tell you guys a story about this game. I have played it off and on for a while since it came out, my 4 year old would occasionally watch.
I would sometimes let him maneuver Aloy and he'd run and jump around, whatever. Mostly after I completed the game, so there were no cutscenes or story, nothing really for him to cling too as far as liking the game, he just liked jumping on the mountains, etc.
He the would start pointing things out on the map, and Id have to load up on fast travel packs, as he just wanted to go around the map and see different things.
This has evolved to now going around calling himself aloy, will not go through life without his bow and arrow (a clothes hanger" in the back of his shirt.
He will randomly drop and do a somersault and say he though a dinousaur was there. He learned how to do everything within this game as far as changing outfits, etc. Dude is obsessed with all of the outfits, and will like ask me things like "when you were a kid, did you have to jump over rocks and stuff"
he hasnt learned to fight any of the machines or anything, and will just hand me the controller in terms of "bad guys", but for the most part he runs around, fast travels into city's, changes outfits. he watches the little videos where the abilities are and wants me to go to the spots in the videos.
Literally obsessed with sliding down the ropes at the hunter challenge locations.
Aloy to him is like he man was to me man, absolutely loves the character/game. I finsihed the game months ago, but it lives in imfamy in my house.Comment

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Finished this off today on hard. I'm glad I listened to you guys and picked hard because once you get to the higher levels the game is fairly easy. I finished at level 50 and 100 per cent completion. I completed all the side quests before entering into the final battle.
Interesting story and definitely one of the better games released this year but I grew a bit bored of the combat by the end. Sounds like I am in the minority on that point.Comment

Nice. Good to know on the difficulty. I purchased this digitally but am holding off another month or so until I get the Pro (White Pro/Destiny 2 Bundle) to start it up. Can't wait to get into this game!PSN: jaydazzle

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Finished off this puppy this morning!
Absolutely amazing game.
And yes I am very happy I finished the Secret Armory side quest for that armor. It is highly recommended to have this for the final battle which was hell!!!
What a game and I am looking forward to the DLC!

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Quick question. I've beaten the game once and am going to start a NG+ playrhrough. However, I've already collected probably half of the various collectibles, and I don't really want to have to find the ones I've already obtained again in NG+.
Do you guys know if the non NG+ playthrough is still accessible after transferring it to NG+?

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
I got this on release but didn't play very long, just start again a few days ago and ran into my first Thunderjaw, and WOW. I remember seeing the early videos of her fighting that beast, but I didn't realize how huge it was.
Really glad I started playing againComment

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
I'm liking the new weapons and extra slots on the outfits. I don't care for the look of the heavy stealth outfit though, even though it's all I wear with 3 stealth mods.
I like the side quest fancy armor, it's just so loud when running around, I don't care for the noise.
I haven't gotten any of the new focus things, getting towards end of new game+ and I am level 4 or 5.
Golden fast travel pack is a must, btw.Comment
