IHATEDUKE32 from what you said I think you are still pretty early in the game. Not sure how much time you have played though. It took me about 32 hours to beat the game first time doing like zero side missions. I still need to go back and do side missions. Normally on games I will not do any side missions and just beat the main game and then go back and start a 2nd play threw doing side missions. That I fell like adds replay value has that way you can just beat the story and find out what happens fast has you can and then do side missions after that.

If you don't want it to end play it until you platinum it, that will add a decent amount of time. I just did the hardest mode on new game plus.

Once I complete the main story, I think I'll dive into the DLC since I bought the complete edition of the game. From what I've heard, that is a good experience in itself. After that, I may start a NG+ and try to find things that I missed the first time around. Probably play on a harder difficulty as well.

That should last me until the Show comes out. Once the Show comes out, it's the only game I play until baseball season ends lol. Probably one of the reasons I missed out on Horizon when it first came out. I'm still playing the Show '17 a few times a week. I wish we had a football game that was that awesome.

I'm sitting at around 46 hours played and I'm at level 39. What a damn game. I'm exploring this world for everything that it offers, so I'll definitely be getting the platinum.

I hope that I never have to see another Stormbird again lol. I fought 4 of them for various things in the upper section of the map -- no mas. I've got a good handle on them at this point, but those battles take a minute. Damn all the birds for that matter.

Can anyone tell me how long the DLC is? I haven't gotten it yet, but I'll definitely be grabbing it whenever I finish the main campaign.

Birds are a pain in the ***. Unless I have to, I don't mess with 'em anymore.

                    Spoiler

I LOVE this game. Haven't really felt that way about a game since the Last of Us.

I started Red Dead Redemption about a year or so ago, but I never finished as I got caught up in other things. I think once I'm done with Horizon (for now at least, I'm definitely going to re-play this game a bunch) I'll try RDR again to have something to play alongside MLB the Show.

On a side-note, I told my wife that the next dog we get will be a female and her name will be Aloy. Not sure she's buying it but we'll see hahaha

I just max out the handling of my ropecaster and then override the stormirds when roped down.

I also normally try and corrupt the first glinthawk or two I see. Have them keep other ones occupied while I shoot them with precision arrows.

The story of the DLC is only about 5 hours, but I think I put in about 10-12 counting the side stuff. I enjoyed it a lot

5 hours sounds off all the reports I have heard are saying 15+ side stuff. I have put in like 10 so far with out really doing side stuff but I was also stuck on same part for about 6 hours dying over and over again.

I just beat this and I am working on frozen wilds. Forgot how good this game is. Took a break for a while because of BOTW around lvl 25. I’m thinking of starting a NG+ after Frozen wilds. For anyone that played NG+ on ultra hard did you essentially just do story missions? I’m still working on collectibles on my main play through so I’m thinking I’d rather run through NG+ doing minimal things. Not sure I want to bother with hunting grounds and stuff. Maybe a cauldron or two if that’s recommended.

I did everything. With the new gear, spear upgrades, perks, e ct. Very first thing I did was override every cauldron. It was fun as hell doing EVERYTHING on new game plus.

You collected everything and did all the side missions?

Also do you need all the data points to platinum this? I’m probably gonna ditch that idea now if so. Haha.
