People always complain shotguns are OP in any game for some reason. In conquest with the maps being so wide open a lot of the times they are pretty limited...... I rarely get killed by them

Maybe in other game modes they are seen more often

I think some people give up on taking out vehicles and go with the "ill just let someone else deal with it" approach because for a lot of people taking out a vehicle means you will probably die 2-3 times in the process and they don't wanna deal with it. As people have mentioned, it sucks because if you let tanks run roughshod over you, you're in trouble

If a few assaults band together and focus fire you can make quick work of a tank but I rarely see that happen

Bigger problem as i see it is squad make-up in PUGs. So many want to scout and hang in the back, sides or obscure places that you are lucky to have 2 assault and a medic playing the same objective...

With your friends its a bit easier to plan and coordinate IMO.

My experience with shotties is very hit or miss. Sometimes I feel like its not fair and I am just one shotting everyone I see (not that it is really happening like that, just my false sense of being a badazz). Other times I am continuously mowed down by anyone and everyone before I get close enough to kill them

When I was being initiated into BF one of the dudes who was helping me, who is one of the best FPS players I have ever seen, taught me after I had raged a little after being shotgunned-to-the-face like 3x in a row by the same guy that it may seem like a shotty is owning me sometimes but if I check the score at the end of the game typically those shotty players arent anywhere near the top in kills and while they may seem very powerful with their one shot kills from certain ranges, in the long run I should be able to kill them more than they kill me all things considered. It was a wise and valid lesson

I am absolutely awful at taking out tanks. That's why I don't play as assault. But yes, if no one tries to take them out and they run rampant, they can absolutely dominate a round.

Range seems pretty crap to me when comes to shotguns. Either that or they are just inconsistent...... Anything outside 10-20 yards if even that you will get melted by anything else.

I think people simply they are OP because when they do get that one shot kill they feel it isn't fair because their is no reacting to it. If they were truly that OP then you would seem way way more than you do .....

Sure, if they can fix where the game doesn't register them looking at you. I don't think they can limit latency enough for that to happen though. I've had times in BF4 where I thought I had the knife from behind, but I guess they spun around so it was considered a frontal knife

They should have never changed it. Was fine in bf4 plus it discouraged the COD knifing

Okay thanks. It was usually happening to me later in the evening so didn't know if it was on my end, a PSN or EA server issue. I've been playing alot this afternoon with no issues so hopefully it's been smoothed out.
