I've killed Aries, Athena, Zeus, Hermes, Hades, death itself. I've been playing god of war forever. That little witcher guy can go be a witch, ride brooms, whatever gets his jollies.

I'm going to be doing God stuff like only Kratos can. (And maybe Conor)

I'm gonna be pretty butthurt if strike 3 ban last longer than a week. There can be way more than three strikes in an inning.

I don't know who Gerald is, but I don't know how a character from magic the gathering beats Kratos. Doesn't Jerry literally fight his battles in card matches with virtual characters in Witcher?

Kratos is mythological God.


Worth it.

If the Shiz doesn't realize this is all in good fun going to report him as something. I can't think of what right now.

Finally started my copy. Yeah, that first big fight was awesome.

I had my reservations about the changes in this game. But after going off the main path and finding a chest, I saw that it's GoW from a third person perspective and it threw me right in to the way I felt when I played the previous versions.

I played the first bit of the game last night and I'm impressed. That fight with the Stranger was insane. If that's what I have to look forward to with this game, bring it on. I've never actually finished a GoW game before, but I really like this new direction that they've taken. The combat feels great and it looks like the story could be pretty good too.

I have the same feeling, I want to take my time with it and not rush through it.

I'm up to the Souleater but I'm restarting. I didn't pay too much attention to the crafting part and I feel like my Kratos isn't built up enough yet to withstand some of these new enemies.

You really don't have to restart though........the game is kinduv designed to allow you to backtrack and pick up stuff that you didn't get before




But the game is so great that a restart is totally acceptable

I think that Witcher 3 is the GOAT for me. Is God of War on that level?

While there’s a bunch of similarities, the games aren’t really comparable imo, and answering would really depend on what you mean by “that level.”

In the simplest terms, God of War is friggin’ awesome and you should play it. Now whether it’s worth $60 to you or if you’d be better served waiting for $49, $39, $19, etc., that’s the more pressing question. Frankly even though I love the game, if the hype train didn’t get to you, you might as well save a few bucks and wait. That’s just me being poor though.

God of War is more my style of game so I think I'll like it more than The Witcher 3. That doesn't and shouldn't take away from TW3 and how amazing other people feel it is.

Not sure why we are comparing the two either. Two totally different styles.

Gameplay wise. God of War blows past The Witcher for me.

I love The Witcher and have well over 100 hours sunk in, but God of War just sucks me in a different way that makes me want to keep playing - The Witcher I can cold turkey stop playing for long lengths of time.

So i picked up God of War yesterday and yeah, its pretty insane. Witcher 3 is still the GOAT to me but after i finish GoW, that may change.

The sheer detail level is off the charts and the combat is so satisfying. First game that really uses deep bass during the combat.

I picked up GOW, Burnout and a 10.00 eShop card..

What can I say... so far the game in freaking awesome.
Have only played a bit over an hour (firing it back up in a few minutes) but man I'm loving it.

At the start I went off the path right away just to explore a bit (That usually gets me way behind in main stories in RPG's lol ) and found a chest and was right away put at ease and in a good state

Nearly everything I hated about the first games is gone! (I was a god of war superfan until Ascension)

Surprised at so many Irish accents in the game though, and TBH I miss Kratos old voice.

Kratos does feel significantly weaker, but I'm guessing he lost a lot of power no that his blades are gone?

Not a spoiler but I'm fairly certain you can get every chest you miss. I've already gotten two or three I missed. There are some you pass you can't open or get to until later in the game.
