    Re: Red Dead Redemption 2

I remember when I got my first console in 1980. It was an Intellivision and the first game that came with it was Poker and Blackjack.

Fast forward 38 years and now I am back playing Poker in a video game.

    Gentlemen, I've come full circle.

I expect the online part of the game to be exactly like how it is in GTAV with heist missions. Other then that it will be filled with people just killing everybody for Youtube and Twitch videos.

There are so many incredible small details in this game that it's hard to keep up. The passage of time and progress of things that have little to do with the actual storyline just blows my mind. I think I just rode past a location that used to be forest that has since been almost completely cleared.

Yup. Also totally expecting rock star to ruin it for profit. When that happens is when I’ll probably move on to fall out 76 I’m guessing.

                Re: Red Dead Redemption 2

I will give RDR2 online a shot for sure. RDR1 had an amazing online to me and I spent many hours just in free roam alone doing all of the activities around the map.

GTA Online was not what I had hoped for it to be, but it raked in the cash and is a big part of why this game was able to be made with the quality it was.

If RDR Online goes down a route like GTA Online and I am not the biggest fan of it I will still have the amazing single player experience to play and I will also cross my fingers for SP DLC this time around. I'll also be 100% okay with the online being the way it is if it and GTA Online continue to print money for R* at an unbelievable rate and R* in turn is able to make more games with this level of quality and innovation.

They can monetize the online all they want if people are going to play it, spend money on it, and R* is going to pump it into a new GTA or even another Red Dead, or a Bully sequel, etc. The online may not be my cup of tea, but it is clearly popular and I am definitely grateful for the role it played in making sure R* had the resources to make this masterpiece and I will continue to have no qualms about the way R* does online if they continue to pump those resources back into great single-player experiences.

Keep on your toes when you're cruising in the Cinematic mode.

I was traveling from Strawberry to Rhodes and thought about giving it a go so I could finish cooking something and while I was turning my chicken I hear from the living room, "This is our bridge! Find another way around." and I turn just in time to look in the living room at my monitor and see Arthur charge full speed at this wagon blocking a bridge, hit it, and go head first over the two horses pulling it while my horse took a massive tumble and fall off the side of the bride. I thought it was dead so I'm thinking no way these O'Driscoll's are going to kill my damn horse AND me.

I ran back to my chair and grabbed the controller and started chewing tobacco instantly and turned and wasted these 6 or so clowns and was looting their stuff and then my horse magically starts walking back to me. She's a resilient ole girl...

Moral of the story: Don't trust Arthur in the world alone.

I love cinematic mode when riding long distances and thought about letting it ride while I do things around the house. But it feels like I always hear some guy telling me to watch out, or some stranger ask a question.

I don't trust it without my supervision. I just use it for the literal views.

I wouldn't mind a normal view "cruise control" option.

I know I'm not driving a Chevy truck or anything, but constantly managing the x button with my horse gets tiring on the long rides.

When you draw your revolver, double tap L1 (PS4) and Arthur will give it a little spin putting it back in the holster.

PS4. It happened twice on the Outlaw ending, so on the 3rd attempt I went with the other ending and it worked perfectly.

Welp, I committed a murder so horrible, last night, that I had to reload a save and handle it differently. Couldn't live with myself. Lol! It was bad, guys. Happened down at Catfish Jackson's, if anyone's been there and knows what I'm talking about.
