The post launch support has not been the greatest. That should already be fixed. They got everyone working on the online cash cow apparently.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Was looking around camp trying to fulfill a couple item requests and couldn't find a couple people. Apparently I've encountered the missing campers bug and I've been missing out on some key interactions for a chapter or two. With so much other stuff to do I didn't realize it.
I could dig through saves to try to find a spot before the mission that effects it (early chapter 2 Uncle mission "Polite Society, Valentine Style") and lose countless hours, or ride it out and they are supposed to reappear in chapter 4.
Buzz kill.
I'm suspecting others encountered it and didn't realize either. The only time you encounter the missing characters is during main missions. If you're still in chapter two or three check around camp for Abigail, John, Jack and Sadie.
Have the same problem. John and Sadie are still there, but Abigail and Jack are gone. Can't give him his stupid book that I found. Supposedly, it will be fixed in the next patch if you haven't made it to chapter 4 by then. I got to chapter 3 a week ago and haven't touched the story since. You're right. Too much other stuff to do!Last edited by PPerfect_CJ; 11-13-2018, 11:47 AM.#LFC

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
When is a good part of the story to forget the story and start venturing out? I just got to Valentine, but I've mostly been moseying around not focusing on main missions.
I'm guessing I still need to progress some to unlock some more things, but unfortunately the game hasn't "grabbed" me yet.Comment

I did most of my roaming in Ch 3-4. By 5-6 the story gets so good and fast-paced that it was hard for me to ignore the impending missions to hunt or help some idiot find his lost horse.
Spoiler
The fact that Arthur was dying of tuberculosis really added an urgency that I couldn't ignore. The gang had crumbled, Arthur is coughing up blood and passing out from time to time, I'm pretty sure Dutch is ready to kill me the next time he sees me but hey!, I'll stop and help the photographer drive some horses closer to his camera.
I love how you get into those humorous, out of place situations in Rockstar games.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I made the mistake of thinking I could only play this for 2 hours before bed after not getting to play any over the weekend. I ended up going to bed at 2am so 3 hours later then usually with work in the morning.
The good news I caught one of the superior horses and tamed it after I cheated on where to find it. It was time consuming and if it had happened in another game I would have quit, but for some reason doing things that normally make me mad or don't interest me I love doing in this world. I also somehow killed my first legendary animal and didn't even know it.
So now I guess I go to the trapper and see what I can get out of it as I don't wanna sell it.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Well, looks like I'll start over. Can't stand knowing I missed out on interactions, story, and side tasks with some pretty important people.
Gives me a chance at getting gold on some missions now that my aim is better and I'm used to the pace of gunfights. Luckily I never encountered a trapper so I never went full hunter mode but badger hunting won't be fun again. There's other things I can things I can do different that hopefully won't make it feel like a drag.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Crap, I just realized I missed out on several missions too. I'm reading Sadie's Wikia article now. Not good."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I finally decided to rob my first backroom business yesterday and I only came away with $50.00 and a $52.00 bounty. It wasn't worth it.. lol.
I couldn't get Arthur to stop stumbling on ****ing bodies and just pick up money and loot and before I knew it I was in a shootout with some local Sheriff's deputies. I couldn't even get the back door to open and run the other way. I also put my mask on beforehand and they still knew who I was.
What's the point in the bandanna if it's not going to work?Last edited by AUChase; 11-14-2018, 09:31 AM.Comment

Bandana works if someone sees a crime and runs away. They'll tell the sheriff they saw something but don't know who did it.
As long as you get far away, you'll walk away without being caught or having a bounty.
But if you stay in the red area, and they spot you, they will know it's you.
Also if you put on the bandana after everyone has seen you and then rob them, the bandana won't work.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I'd recommend anyone playing find a clip on youtube of the final Dutch scene from RDR1. It really made me appreciate what a good job they did using that iteration of his character to expand on in RDR2.Comment
