You guys weren't kidding. After Guarma the story gets a lot better.

I gotta say though, this game still hasn't met my expectations. That's likely my fault though. I didn't even hype GTA V as much as I hyped RDR2.

I don't know what happened but near the end of the main story I actually liked Dutch more than the protagonist.

        Spoiler

I think most of us were the exact opposite. By the end, every time I talked to him, I chose the "antagonize" option. I really wanted to shoot Dutch right in his face. Lol!

I can't forgive out what frustrated me the most. Dutch and his hair brained schemes or the morons that continued to believe in him.

I'm hard pressed to think of a video game character I disliked more than Dutch.

Yeah the progression of Dutch was really good writing. But he does annoy the hell out of me.

I'm not done yet, but I'll probably see it get worse.

When you get a tip about a house to rob is there anything to help you find it beyond "South of _____"? Or do you just kind of wander around in that area and hope for the best?

So I'm not very far in this game still (because I do a lot of that aimless wandering heh), but there are a couple of things to this that I noticed, some of them which are able to be robbed at that time and some which are not:

                    1) If you tap Left on the D-pad, that's where your tasks pop up, and there will be a picture of said house in that itinerary. You can go off of that slightly, but it's not the easiest shot to see either. Look for ones that match and on the map.

                    2) Some houses that I have tried with that idea were locked, and I was absolutely convinced that they were the homes. For one or two of those homes, however, they popped up later as missions with other people in my camp to go perform that robbery later.

My guess is that most of them are tied into the main story, regardless as to whether or not you receive the tip. Kind of unfortunate, but I think I have robbed some from tips independent of the game's campaign as well.

Yea there was one that i got a tip about randomly, I managed to find it, killed everyone and robbed everything. Then a little later it was a companion activity with Javier, went back everyone was alive again, robbed it again.

I'm like 90% sure that happened its possible it was a different house.

                        Haha, absolutely could have been.

What I've now been doing though, instead of killing them, is just hogtying them. It seems you can't really lose honor for hogtying, whereas every so often you will for killing and/or robbing (again, depends on who you are robbing or looting).

Also, unfortunately you tend to lose honor for it, but whenever you have a friendly encounter with a campsite fellow and they have a carcass hanging up, it's pretty much guaranteed to be pristine. Just a heads up.

Look on the map in that area for buildings in the middle of nowhere. And I think when you go near the right house it'll label it on the map.

Played through this again just finished the main story still have the epilogue. Story is almost better once you've played through it once. Easier to keep up with all the characters.

Forgot how depressing the camp gets towards the end.

My second playthrough was better too. The story was better and you pick up a lot of details that you miss the first time through. I confused so many characters in my first play through: Sean & Kiernan. I didn't really know who Micah was until his first mission in Strawberrry; I had no idea who Sadie was when she reappeared as a bigger character in Ch 6.

I also liked that I knew exactly how (un)important all of the annoying RGP-stuff was and ignored most of it the second time through. I barely did any crafting, hunting, and I completely ignored the camp. I didn't donate a thing and it didn't have much of an impact.
