My install is less than an hour.... Got that 400MBPS internet and this is one of those times it's worth it

The hamster that powers my internet here in the mountains of north GA had to take a break so I’ve still got 28 minutes to go it’s been 1 hour so far

I actually felt less like a nerd standing in line at midnight at GameStop as foxworthy said you know what I’m dang near royalty around these parts.

You ever been somewhere in a crowd and realized you didn't belong there?

Yeah, that's what those midnight lines are like... I'm too old for that craziness.

            Red Dead Redemption 2

As I'm waiting for the final 5% of the install, I'm perusing over the maps that came with the special edition and it hit me:

The last time we were all able to do this with a brand new R* was GTA V in 2013. As I continued, nostalgia promptly hyped me to new levels. How AMAZING was GTA V when it came out 5 years ago? To that end, how great of a game in it's visuals, storytelling and gameplay is it STILL, to this day? Pretty damn good.

And now, we get to embark on yet another masterpiece. One that takes full advantage of all our current hardware has to offer. What a great time to be a gamer. I'm beyond stoked. More excited at this moment, at 99% installation, than I've probably ever been for a game.

And with that, I bid you all adieu and hope you all enjoy the journey as much as I hope I do.

I’m too old for this **** lol. I’m probably just going to go to bed and go into this fresh tomorrow. I don’t want to play for an hour and rush it like I did with Spider-Man at midnight because I’m passing out while playing and I’m just frantically trying to get to the point where the world opens up.

Yeah, not going to make it tonight. RDR2 will have to wait until morning. Didn't plan well and stayed up until 1am last night playing COD. Ended up getting about 4.5 hours of sleep and I'm dragging. Enjoy!

                    Stay away from those moshpits

If Red Dead's single player campaign is truly this long, I can't wait to get acclimated and hit that moment where everything clicks and the immersion pours on.

I usually get my games early anyway, but I did want to try one midnight release, kinda how I did with seeing how Black Friday was until I did it

At this moment I'm glad I just went digital this one time. Didn't want to drive to my guy, and right now i'd be outside waiting around like a chump with a bunch of people I don't know... no thanks.

I'll be ready to go as soon as they unlock it to play in a few.

I didn't watch any videos and stuff so i don't feel all the hype. Expectations are low, so if this actually surprises... it's kinda what im hoping for.

I'll be picking my copy at my local EB Games tomorrow. I could've picked it up tonight at 9pm but I'd rather be fresh in the morning. I don't drive so I'd be hopping buses so didn't feel like doing that tonight.

Cinematic value is through the roof on this.

I'm digging the dynamic HUD, including being able to click the map/radar on with a button press but having it hidden otherwise.

Also, Free Aim all the way.

I'm amazed. I don't want to stop playing but catching the end of this basketball game and heading to bed because east coast and work in the morning.

Quick question, anyone having trouble seeing people? I had a bit of trouble the first time I had to be on the attack and then I was asked to chase a guy. No idea where he was or went. [emoji53]

Passed that point so no biggie. But might need to up the brightness. Or maybe I like it better this way?

More thoughts later. It feels like a movie.
