Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Kind of think the controls are clunky but the other part of me thinks you really really have to pay attention to the buttons you press. Every button press matters
I don't know if I love the gunfights. Grant it, just made it to Valentine but so far I find the combat a bit dull. I think it will pick up.

Red Dead Redemption 2
I’ve never had as much fun shopping and buying things in a video game before.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
This isn't my image, but here's an example someone posted on Reddit. The HDR image is washed out, almost like a slight fog over it.

This was my exact issue. The whole game looks like my contacts are very dry causing a "fog".
I'm anxious to try with hdr off on ps4 pro.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Just saw three O'Driscoll's about to execute a guy point-blank, so I slung some arrows to save him and I did.
The game told me I had to dispose of the bodies so lawmen don't trace them back to me. Thankfully I was by the big body of water and took the time to carry them into there. The problem was the third one was on top of the coach, which apparently I can't ride myself, but I also couldn't take him off with an interaction prompt... however, using the lasso did work in pulling him off.
As I brought him to the body of water, one of the other two corpses washed up back to shore. I proceeded to bring him out deeper. Last I checked, they're still there. Amazing that the game restores their status from time and distance away for quite a bit!
Their coach also had a lockbox that I can't pick yet. Need to have a tool for that. Guess I gotta start strolling into towns to see what's available soon enough.

Red Dead Redemption 2
I don't know what it is about the game that has me hooked and engaged vs other open world games. I feel like with how slow and plodding it can be and how it doesn't compromise movement or animating activities, or even ease of travel, I should be annoyed like it's wasting my time. I just don't get that feeling at all though.
Anyone else feel similarly? I felt like GTA V was a bit dull, and I generally end up feeling like everything is a chore in open world games, and I can't quite put my finger on what's happening here as to why that's not the case.
I'm right there with you, man. Even traveling to quest locations, as slow paced as it can be, isn't grueling. I feel like it's on purpose, which makes it enjoyable.
I've gotten into the habit of turning on Cinematic Mode every time there's travel and dialogue involved. Somehow, R* has managed to further the whole "playing a movie" vibe in this game.
With that said, the whole beginning felt verySpoilerHateful Eight-like, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I'm really enjoying playing this game with no hud except dynamic ammo. Navigation is still fine with directions, signs, the map, and pressing down on the d-pad for the radar and my stats/money here and there .Comment
