Not going to spoil anything, but the "controversies" behind this game were overblown and completely stupid.

Perfect example of why segments of fandom are toxic, overly critical and can't enjoy the journey someone else has created.

Off topic, but the movie Misery should be required viewing for all entitled, whiny & overly critical fanbases.

The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4)

And right on cue, I got an email saying mine won’t be shipped till TOMORROW from 1-6 pm. Could’ve been playing this morning, and now with my busy day tomorrow I likely won’t be able to play till very late tomorrow night.

I don’t know how anyone prefers online shipping over in-store pickup. There is no convenience in uncertainty, inconsistency, and autonomy.

Granted, it’s because in-store pickup wasn’t an option at the time, for whatever silly reason it was. Maybe I can walk into a Best Buy right now and get a copy, then return the shipped one in store later.

I haven't been to Best Buy since picking up The Show curbside (which actually was super easy, barely an inconvenience), so I wasn't sure if the store was open. I checked the website for in-store pickup, and it mentioned curbside and that it wasn't going to be made available until tomorrow.

So I was unsure about a couple things, there:

            1) Whether the store is open for customers to walk in to.
            2) Whether TLOU 2 will be available on the shelves if the curbside pickup won't be available for me until tomorrow.

Even still, man... I just don't get how people prefer online shipping for things. Like I heard GameFly on here again the other day. Imagine if I was renting from GameFly and I returned a game Wednesday hoping to get one on Friday, and only to discover I wouldn't get it till late Saturday. This is why Blockbuster was so great, and this is why I'll only stick to Redbox for such dealings, heh.

I want to play this bloody game, damn it!

EDIT: Sadly, they're already closed. Maybe that's why curbside wasn't available till tomorrow. However, my e-mail came to me at a time that I would not have been able to go to BBY right afterward to get the game even if I wanted to.

Sorry man, you could always just purchase it on the PSN Store...

Meh, then there's download time and the like.

I'm just griping about online ordering and shipping stuff. Never have liked it, never will. And yet, many people prefer it and I just don't understand it (this is assuming you can get something locally as well).

Anyway, enough of me. Keep on talking about the game, y'all. After all, you have it.

I love the story of Last of Us much more than the actual gameplay, so I'm watching a Let's Play. I did something similar with the first title.

Not going to spoil this since it's a gameplay mechanic and not part of the story. You can adjust the aggressiveness of your CPU AI partner in the difficulty settings. I have mine at the 2nd level (can't remember the name) and it makes them more effective in combat.

I finished the 1st section about 2.5 hours in I pulled the plug for the night as I was getting sleepy. My goal is to space this out a bit and take my time I just don’t know if I’ll be able to. I’ll be able to share more of my thoughts when I play a little more soon and aren’t sleepy..... I think it will live up to the hype.
I’m playing on a non 4K tv I can’t wait to see what this would look like wit a 4K and next gen ifs a beautiful game.

Thus far, the only negative for me has been a clunky control in regards of the sprint and jump combo (L1&X). I've had to repeat it many times. Hopefully, getting more use to the game will help me out.

It's a good looking game, but even on a decent 4K tv it's really not jaw dropping

Has anyone died more than a few times? One of the first challenge areas in Seattle with the runners and clickers was a little tricky because I over complicated it. I replayed it a few times until I got the result I was looking for. I honestly don't like using the bricks and bottles as lures, because it's too cheap more than a few times. Any tactics you guy's found useful? Playing on hard at the moment and may go to survivor.
