I need to restart this. I don't think I got more than 1/3 of the way through and haven't played for over a year.

I picked up Nioh 2. Played for about two hours yesterday. Game is amazing, just like Nioh.

The combat is the best I’ve played in my 30 years of gaming.

Got through the first level, first side mission there, and all the tuturial/dojo missions. Halfway through the second level now. I forgot how great it feels to completely demolish people with the kusarigama. I started off with swords as my secondary, but have switched to dual blades for additional XP and familiarity.

Does anybody have a good article regarding crafting? Leveling up versus reforging etc? Is it better to max out familiarity with a weapon AND then reforge/level up or does it not really matter?

I would like to know this as well. I beat Nioh but never got a good handle on the crafting system. It was very complex.

There is not enough farming in the world to help me with this game. Loving the game still.

Nioh 2 is amazing. IMO, it does souls-like better than Souls. Incredible stat tracking, game play is damn near perfect, tons of fun loot and options for customization, runs smooth as butter, looks awesome, and the character creation is second to none. Plus, overally, a pretty cool story.

Again, my opinion, but other than maybe Bloodborne, this is the best souls-like this gen.

I agree, so glad Team Ninja decided to make this series could never get into Dark Souls/Bloodborne due to the setting and tone but Nioh is more up my ally due to historical figures and the Samurai theme.

I also love the game, but it's not better than Dark Souls

I’m really enjoying this game! It is ruthlessly challenging but extremely rewarding at the same time.

Nioh 2 feels more difficult than the original Nioh. I’m on the second main mission in Region #2 and the difficulty level seems to take a big jump at this point in the game.

I would suggest Nioh 2 to anyone who enjoys action RPG’s. The RPG elements are as deep as you will ever see in a 3rd person RPG. The combat remains the best I’ve personally played and the aesthetics are gorgeous.
