Haha it’s all good, best of luck man. Try flashing it as much as possible with the flash pods, shock traps, anything else to stun it and get him immobile.

Do you have a weapon with an element diablo is weak too? Standard stuff I’m sure you know but try to focus as much on the weak areas as possible. Once you see it burrowing, just start rolling around in different directions, you can dodge the attack fairly well that way.

Yeah, I’m using the Everfrost Charge Blade. He’s weak to Ice. I feel like I do plenty of damage to him. It just takes forever and like I said, it seems like at some point during the fight, he just starts shrugging off my attacks. I guess I just need to keep experimenting. I can’t even BEGIN to imagine how hard the monsters later on are! 😳

Okay that’s good, keep going and you’ll get it. Be patient and don’t rush it.

Diablo is annoying in general imo with the burrowing, there are definitely some hard monsters later on but they are all doable.

Pro tip: Use dung pods when he borrows to force him back above ground. I keep dung pods and flash pods on my radial menu so I can keep crafting them mid mission.

Also try crafting some dash juice and demon drugs if you can.

You're looking for screamer pods for him. They should be in the camp chest before all diablos fights.

Can I use the demon stuff with the Charge Blade? I was thinking that was for the weapon that uses demon energy, dual swords I think. That’s why I’ve never crafted any of it. Obviously, I’m probably wrong. Lol!

Has anyone fought a Tempered Kirin yet? I'm approaching HR49 and would like to know if he is a dodge fest or get one shotted. I've already had that experience with Tempered Vaal Hazak but he is relatively easy to dodge, just stay behind him. Kirin on the other hand is a nightmare.

The one that was available to me was a 2 faint fail. I have a 3 faint fail, now, so I may be able to pull that off. The last fight I had with him, he had the skull over him, I used 2 large barrel bombs on him and then went to town with the Charge Blade. He shook it off like he was the damn Undertaker and proceeded to stomp me into the ground. Lol! I guess that was my breaking point. I may actually try my Insect Glaive on him, because that may help with avoiding his charges. I always get stunned and then he immediately goes underground and pops up to destroy me. I’ve stacked the stun protection that I have up to 60% but it doesn’t feel like it helps much. I’ve had fun with the game, it’s just starting to get really frustrating.

If you're getting stunned it's because you're getting hit by his bull rush move that runs directly straight ahead of him that is easy to telegraph. He scratches his feet across the ground just like a bull getting ready to rush. Also, as soon as you see him even begin to burrow you should abort your combo and run the opposite direction from him. Also, I would start bringing a shock trap + 2 tranq bombs so that when you see the skull on the map you can just capture him immediately instead of having to possibly go for 5 more minutes of fighting. Makes it a lot safer.

Congrats on downing diablos! He's definitely a "wall" for a lot of people.

Playing around with different weapons gives you more tools to approach a monster with. Diablos gave me fits the first few times I tried him with the charge blade so I switched to a bow and had a much easier time.

Now, I have endgame builds for a variety of weapons, and each of them excels on different fights.

I'm embarrassed to say how many hours I've put into this game in the last 2 and a half weeks so I'll keep that to myself..

With that said, I'm HR 107. lol

I don't really like how the endgame is just farm a bunch of jewels for the super rare chance that you get 1 good one to fix your build. The gear itself is too easy to make and the jewels to optimize the build are too hard to get the ones you want. I've took up creating full builds of gear for weapons I'll maybe never even try, that are all just missing random jewels to completely finish the build.. All because I've crafting materials pouring out of my *** so I try and find new builds that I can spend the materials on..

I honestly can't believe how much fun I've been having using the Lance weapon. When I seen it and how gigantic and slow it was, I thought that would be the absolute last weapon I would use besides the Hunting Horn.. But I gave it a shot in the Gathering Hub Arena missions and fell in love with it. It's pretty much unkillable and with the right jewel and gear sets, you can put out a fair amount of damage with peak performance skill.

I honestly can't believe how much fun I've been having using the Lance weapon. When I seen it and how gigantic and slow it was, I thought that would be the absolute last weapon I would use besides the Hunting Horn.. But I gave it a shot in the Gathering Hub Arena missions and fell in love with it. It's pretty much unkillable and with the right jewel and gear sets, you can put out a fair amount of damage with peak performance skill.

My lance build is basically my go to for no nonsense elder farming. Got the Kirin Thunderlance and Vaals trident lance for different monsters. The first time I blocked Nergy's murder dive with just a plain ol guard was when I came to really appreciate the lance. The burst damage may not be there, but you can keep the pressure on and mounting is remarkably easy.
