Correct, there is no pause in the game.

Which is absolutely infuriating IMO. I get it if I'm playing in an online group, it's going to mess things up, but when running solo the fact you can't pause it is incredibly annoying.

Other than that, and the special ammo, and a few other minor things I'm pretty happy with it.

I really wish there was more explanation around character builds, gear etc. etc. Like I can't upgrade a weapon because I need some score to be at least 250 or something, but I have no idea what that means, where it is, how I up it, or what it even is. That frustrated me beyond belief with D1, and it's doing the same for me here.

I get it, but the entire game is online. It's an MMO-lite, you can't pause games like that. Never have been able to, never will.

One thing that does annoy me is the following. I'm happy that this one is a bit more difficult but I don't like how some parts are artificially difficult. Case and point. I'm halfway down the block away from a control point behind cover. I open up my sniper and fire one single shot. Automatically bullets rain down on my location. There is no way that one single shot would pinpoint my exact location to the enemy like that. At least make them scramble a bit more, hide behind cover, or scan for the target rather than knowing exactly where i am from one shot while hiding halfway down the block.

How do you know when you’ve cleared a Location?

Also, do we have to do the question marks and activities?

Tempted but may not be able to plan with a group all the time, so torn.

You can just do the question marks you need for projects.

As far as clearing an area it will tell you the area is friendly on the map once you take over all the control points.

What do you mean? The games matchmaking makes it pretty simple to hop into a group whenever you want for whatever you want to do.

Agreed. And you can go from solo to matchmaking to partied and back as frequently as you want. That said I found it a bit disjointed last night, teaming up with a buddy who was a few levels lower than I was.

I know it's been talked about and IDK if it's a glitch or what, but he was getting one-shot a lot. We changed a our style and were successful and the challenge was real, and fun. Punishing yet rewarding.

The bigger issue I had was it was showing main mission's that I completed as complete on HIS map, even though he hadn't completed them yet. Also happened when he was the party leader. We kinda muddled our way through it and had fun and it all worked out. But it was definitely a bit wonky.

I was level 9 and he was 4. So all of that to say that I can only see things becoming more confusing as the gap in levels gets bigger.

The balancing is still off with different level players playing as far as I know. Damage scales but armor doesn’t.

And the map is always the host player’s map. I wish they could make it dynamic too but I’m guessing that’s a pain.

How can you tell who's the host? Is it not just the party leader?

If he joined you then simply making him leader won't change the map. He'll need to leave the session and be in his own that you join from what I understand.

does playing the pvp modes like demolition have any impact on loot and leveling in the main game?

Well...wrapped up the base game last night by completing the story. Overall though, still an excellent 9.0/10 as a one time solo play-through and can easily see those who enjoy playing games continuously as having a huge amount of fun with the game.

Played for two hours today and just quit the game. Literally zero interest in replaying everything that I already did in the base game. Just not for me. Overall though, still an excellent 9.0/10 as a one time solo play-through and can easily see those who enjoy playing games continuously as having a huge amount of fun with the game.

                                On to my next game.

Probably want to spoiler this post.
