Re: Fallout 76
Yeah, that’s the way I feel. If games ever really do go the “online only” route, my days of buying new ones are over. To look on the bright side, I’ll be 3 weeks into Red Dead 2 when this releases, so that will soften the blow.#LFC

Re: Fallout 76
Something else I just thought of. Are you going to have to have Playstation Plus to even PLAY the game? I don't have it because I don't play online. No one should have to pay another 10 bucks a month to play a game that they've already paid at least $60 for.#LFC

Re: Fallout 76
I am not writing this off. The setting alone will keep my eye on this, but this simply isn't what I wanted from Fallout and I don't see how they will create a game that will be as good as the single player games are to me. I guess this is sort of there way of creating the Fallout version of The Elder Scrolls Online.
I'll most likely end up passing, because I don't have hours available to play with a group currently....I play in short bursts when I find time.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

I’m assuming you will need live or plus to play this.Comment

Re: Fallout 76
Some more details and answers to some questions asked here in this interview.
VATS is still in but it's real time.
No offline raiding of your CAMP.
Every human in game is a real person, they took out Raiders completely, but only dozens per server so it won't be crowded.
Quests will be given through world triggers, terminals, holotapes, and lots of robots.
Nukes create high level zones (I'm thinking they'll mutate everything in the zone) that will take coordination and high level to take advantage of.
Nukes won't destroy your CAMP and it's easily repairable anyway.
You can die if you stay in the nuke zone (probably a radiation thing)
And Mothman is confirmed.
So much more...Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Some good news there. Especially regarding the nukes not destroying everything you've built, only to have some ******* destroy it all with the push of a button.Comment

100% not purchasing, that's my favourite part of the FO games is taking on raiders and other 'important' people to assassinate.
Done with fallout until they change that, there is lots of other great stuff coming out anyway - peace!Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Sounds to me like you will have to go here to get this and fight robots along the way. There will also be 11 other humans on the map that can help or be trolls.Comment

Even though I'm not an online player much I welcome a new direction for Fallout. The franchise needs new blood. The stories are great but the game engine is so outdated I'd have a hard time buying a FO5 if it just followed the same recipe with some if the same graphics from as far back as FO3. Spin offs aren't going to kill the franchise otherwise Tactics or Brotherhood of Steel would have done that.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks
