My problem is that it likely will be stripped down. We probably can't have followers or a good story if this is geared towards online.

What I loved about previous Fallouts is playing alone and meeting followers. I loved getting their gear ready and doing missions with them. Fallout should have a lonely factor to it where you meet various people who can join you. Not 100 people running around doing things.

If I want to play online I'll play Battlefront or Destiny. Co-Op in this game would have been fine with me but with this online aspect there will be no true single player mode.

I'm pretty underwhelmed by this announcement. Bethesda is going in the wrong direction here and I'm a massive fan of everything they have done in the past. Just feels wrong IMO.

Yeah, it's sounding more and more like a no go for me, at least initially. Building is the main reason I still go back to FO4. Looks like building in FO76 is going to be shrunk by a large margin.

Also while I'm sure the quests will be fun it seems it will lack the depth of a regular FO game. Which is fine, just not something I'm interested in at the moment. Who knows, after the game comes out it might be awesome in it's own right.

I felt the same way when learning this is Online only. End of day I would prefer Bethesda focus on SP for games like this, but I'm willing to give it a chance and preorder it cause I have never been let down by Bethesda. I'm sure this game will once again consume my gaming time.

Nice tidbit from the beta faq today, it'll be the full game and progress will be carried over to the main game.

I think they said October but don't quote me on that.

So I’m guessing that means micro transactions will be in too. Great.

You can’t buy the perks you get them every other level up to level 10 and every 5 levels after that. The only micro transactions are cosmetic like skins for your weapons or armor.

The fallout community made some snap judgments when 76 was introduced and as a largely solo player I was definitely skeptical of an online version. As more info was released the idea and Bethesda's execution of their vision has started to grow on me though. With the stuff coming out of quakecon yesterday is encouraging still and this is definitely getting closer to a purchase for me.

The wanted murderer stuff sounds interesting like an interesting deterrent to griefing....now I just wanna be a bounty hunter lol.

Not sure how much discussion there's been on here about getting a group to play together here, but I'm in. I'll be on PlayStation 4 to start with. I haven't done a lot of research on how exactly this will all work but I'm hoping that Bethesda will allow for private worlds, at least eventually. I know it's 24 total players.

I don't know if it will work but I'd love to see something where we could set up say 4-6 guys that play as "raiders," while the remainder of us play as general adventurers/settlers, etc. That way not everyone is running around killing one another, those that are, "supposed," to do that are outnumbered and have to plan their attacks well.

I've never gotten into an online game but I'm most likely going to give this one a shot. Hoping we have a good community here for it. The only game I've ever played at all really was GTA Online. That was fun in the private world with people from OS.

The game is beginning to sound interesting to me after reading the GI preview.

But the release date is bad. Too close to RDR for me. And I worry that by the time there's a sale and I have the time, the core gaming group will have left to the next game.
