    Re: WoW OSers?

Profession advice? I'm running a rogue and thinking mining/jewelcrafting

On my old higher rogue I have mining (or skinning) and leatherworking...

Seems like jewelcrafting could be cool at the end, I always found the armor you could craft wasn't that great compared to stuff you could easily get somewhere...

    What do you guys think?

It depends on if you want professions that are productive for endgame use or are you wanting to make the most gold possible? I've done both and now tend to go with mining/herbs for the gold and now the exp you get.

Hmmm, I should probably just go mining/herb and just make money/exp and then figure out the end game later...I can always powerlevel something if I get that far

Best way to go since people are lazy and want to AH farm for alchemy and blacksmithing. My mage made a ton of gold just from farming alone while leveling 1-80

What is the difference between raiding and instances?

I upgrade to WOTLK because of Blizzard's insane online sale. Once Cata. comes out does that mean the major bosses of the expansions will be gone. Can one still battle the Litch King or go to Outland (is it OUtland from BS?)?

Instancing is doing 5 man "mini" raids. The encounters are moderately difficult for the average player and you get gear to move up to raids.

Raids are a lot more difficult, a lot longer and give much better loot. The WotLK and Burning Crusades raids will still be available.

Holic when's the next time you'll be on HoO leveling. Crimsontide done went and damn near leveled up to 60 already.

Stupid question (its 1030pm so I get a break). Did they revamp all the quests in every zone? STV Grom'Gol has no quests for me and this toon is only 42.

Nevermind, raptor mobs are only level 26 in STV now so that answers my question. Now I need to hunt for my level of mobs

Yeah, it's not like I thought it would be. I thought the idea was for people to level together experiencing the changes in the zones as if it was the first time going through. As it is, it's nothing but a bunch of people racing to 60 using whatever trick they know.

Thats what I'm liking. Last night I ended on the note of needing to find my zones now since everything is different. Seems the consensus that leveling from 30'ish via quests is better than doing the dungeons. DM is just so crappy for xp once you finish the quests because of the size of that place and how mobs are spread out

Yeah, I was expecting the same. Guess I might have to second guess myself before starting my goblin on that server.

                          Re: WoW OSers?

I brought my Troll Feral Druid up to Level 20 today and hit the Dungeon Finder. Rolled into Shadowfang Keep only to find 4 other druids. We found out the hard way that everyone was Feral spec when our healer couldn't heal and our tank couldn't tank. It was a shameful display. I'll probably just stick with questing. I've levelled two characters to 80 over the years I've played but I am really enjoying the new zones and especially the new quests which provide so much more variety.

Also of note is the Carbonite quest helper app that has released a 4.03 beta. Makes questing both easier but also more enjoyable. http://www.carboniteaddon.com/

I kept my druid as resto since it seemed like everyone was going to go the feral route. It's pretty tough healing these noobs. They have no concept of aggro, and the tanks never seem to be geared or specced towards the role they're trying to play. Also seeing a lot of supposed dps warriors running around with shields. Boss encounters fail because the tank gets damn near one shotted or the dps is so low I run out of mana before they sloooooowly burn em' down.

I am a level 11 Tauren Hunter and have been mostly questing so far. I joined the Horde of One, but haven't had an opportunity to interact. I haven't done any dungeons yet, but look forward to it.

I am playing about an hour a night. I want to go slow and enjoy the experience.
