Tera is getting pretty boring, plus doing server merges in NA and EU. I have no problem with a buy to play game, but is it still worth the monthly fee?

Last time I paid a monthly fee for a game was Asheron's Call.

I'm thinking about giving this a try. Anyone playing, and if so what server?

Finally gave this one a go. I've been playing for about 4 days and it's the most fun I've had in a mmo in many years. I don't remember the last time a mmo had me looking forward to jumping into the game.

        Pros
Holy trinity - defined classic roles of tank, healer and dps

Tab targeting - just feels right in a mmo

Depth of classes - decent amount of spells and skills to unlock for your character

Each level milestone feels very rewarding

        World is very pretty.

        Cons
Quick travel is fairly limited and relatively expensive for noobie players making for a lot of time spent just running.

Lack of character customization. You can't allocate stats and there doesn't appear to be any kind of skill tree to select from. Meaning there isn't anything really setting one black mage apart from another besides the person behind find the keyboard.

Story is fine, but that's all I can really say about it. It's not bad, but I'm not as invested into it as I was with something like guild wars or star wars the old republic.

Listing out the pros cons makes me feel like I shouldn't be as enamored with this game as I am. I've been playing mmos for about 15 years, and a lot of the pros I listed are fairly superficial. They are also rare in the current age of mmos though so maybe that's why it feels special. Or maybe because it's a final fantasy game. Whatever it is I'm having fun running around on my arcanist running quests, doing fates and working my way up. I'm looking forward to finding some people to group up with. I think that's where this game will really shine
