Love the Magitek mount I've seen people on, hope to get one of those eventually.

Edit: ah, reading that you get it when finishing the story. Also I've only done the 3 dungeons, haven't done the primal fight or done any grand company stuff. I have a ways to go then?

Yeah, the M-tek mounts are a ways off, but you should be able to get a personal Chocobo at the level you're at. You do need to beat the first Primal and join a GC first, though. I know the Chocobokeep in Gridania offers a quest after I joined a GC (because I started there and I'm Twin Adder) - it's probably the same for the other two cities. You need GC seals to get the Chocobo license as part of that quest.

There are other mounts too...hilariously, I got a unicorn mount for unlocking the WHM class, and I've seen a lot of Couerl's running around too.

I have a bigger concern than the game itself right now, though....Has anyone tried to set up their account for payment on this game yet? Both of my cards are giving an error message when I try to extend my service, and I know they're both active because I make purchases locally and over the 'net with them.

Getting a bit worried that I won't be able to continue playing after the initial time expires. And the Support site has been completely unresponsive.

              Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)

I am seriously considering picking this game up today. I have heard outstanding things about it. It sounds like a mix of WoW/GW2, which would be perfect for my tastes. Is that accurate? I mean, do you guys honestly recommend it? I am picky about my MMOs but other than server issues a lot of people say this is fun and worth investing in.

              Any input appreciated.

If you like mmos I don't see someone not getting their money's worth from the initial purchase.

Ii's genuinely pretty good, enjoying it.

Have to be online for friend requests to work I think, have to send it to character names, so Tolaris Shayden for me.

If you have the PS3 version, you will be able to upgrade to the PS4 version for free. Pretty cool if you ask me:

And the PS4 version will support remote play:
