Anyone here in beta besides me?

Wouldnt mind having a friend to group with and learn how to play. So much of this game is un-intuitive so far, but would love to get with someone else to learn and play the game.

Since this is beta, I dont care what server or city etc. Right now I have a 4 guardian and a 3 miner.

What world are you in?

I hopped in on the beta a couple days ago finally. I think I'm in Besaid.

This game is rough on my system. Either something's wrong with my hardware or this game is just really demanding. Have an i7-920 with a GTX 295 and I can't run it on the highest settings. Gotta set it to around standard and even then I'm only getting around 30 FPS.

Keep getting "The lobby server connection has encountered an error..." message. I'm reading that it's because of maintenance. I'll see if I can get in when I get back home.

The servers seem to be down a lot for maintenance. It seems that half the times that I try to log in, they're down.

From 9:00 to 12:00 (PDT) on Sep. 7, 2010, we will be performing maintenance on FINAL FANTASY XIV. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XIV will be unavailable.
* The Beta Test Site will still be available.

Didn't even think to look at the beta site.

I hope my character was saved. I got the error right after naming him and it took me back to the start screen.

Lets pick a server and all play together, its beta so doesnt really matter which one.

Once it goes live then we can head to wherever. I seem to get a yellow connection no matter where I go.

I have a toon on besaid and Mysida or whatever its called.

Ill end up playing this some on release, but I have to admit I am a bit disappointed in the way this title has turned out thus far.

Yea, I got it coming. Really bored with WoW atm and decided this would be the next one I picked up. Not sure how much more the CE is worth since I predict server issues and patching taking a day or so, we shall see.

What about you? This thread doesnt seem to have much interest and since the game is just releasing, we should all get on the same server.

After playing the beta for a bit, this has gotten a big 'MEH' from me. Probably not getting it.

If I had a PC that could run it, I would be all over the collector's edition this week.. my FFXI linkshell is going to Figaro server so that's where I'll be going when the PS3 version comes out.

I was given an Amazon gift certificate so I said why not to the Collectors Edition. The bonus items seem pretty cool but really I don't have much going on this weekend so I figured I could dive in starting on Friday.

I don't know anybody else playing this so it would be great to meet up with some OS dudes, at least on the weekends when I can mostly play.

If others don't have a server preference then they might as well come to Figaro as well
