Got a nice deal on a 60 day play card so I'm looking forward to giving this a try finally.

Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
Dammit, the PS4 beta is getting me hooked all over again. It was never a matter of not liking the game that I quit for, it was all about not having enough time to play it. I went nearly a whole month subbed without logging in at one point and decided it just wasn't worth it.
I'm reconsidering that decision, but it's no different now with Bravely Default out now and the FFX remixes/MLB The Show on the near horizon.
This PS4 version is nearly a dead ringer for what my PC can put out (though I have slightly less frame dropping on the PC).Comment

I recently, like a week ago, re-subscribed for three months.
I played the free month at launch and never played after that. I liked the game a lot, I just didn't get hooked enough to pay for the sub. I am really enjoying it the last few days. I am working on a 31 white mage and a 36 scholar/summoner. I can see myself trying to get all the classes to 50 and doing a little end game before putting the game away, which will take quite a bit of time and justify the pay.
It really is a very well made MMO.

My body is ready. I haven't played any of XIV yet on PC or PS3, so this is all fresh to me. I remember playing 11 and being very disappointed.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Yeah, MMOs are an acquired taste for sure.
For instance, I'd probably pay more than $15 a month for this. Mainly because I don't buy many new games and the enjoyment I get out of MMOs blows the enjoyment I get from 99% of game genres out of the water.badComment

Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
Well, I'm back in for 2 months at least. It's less because I think I'll have more time (I really won't) and more about using the time I already paid for. I still had 3k Crysta in my account that had just been sitting there since I cancelled my sub, and there's really nothing else I was going to use it on. So I reactivated and will play while I can until it runs out, and go from there.
Just unlocked Brayflox's Longstop on my main character, but I definitely need some de-rusting before I head in there.Comment

Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
Didn't expect it, but I'm really enjoying the PS4 beta.
I'll use this beta round to explore characters and see what they do, then start playing seriously when the next beta opens in a week or so. If there's more of us, we should start in the same server when the next beta starts.Khalabeeb - Tony Henderson

Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
The next beta round will allow you to import (or just straight up play as) the characters people have now. Not sure which of those options, as I haven't dug into it too much - but if it is importing them I have no issues importing my guy to the same server as people here and helping them if yall need it.Didn't expect it, but I'm really enjoying the PS4 beta.

Re: Final Fantasy XIV (PS3/PC)
If I remember correctly they will be offering a free upgrade to the PS4 version, if you own the PS3 version.
