It's quite fun in short spurts, however it won't ever get "normal mmo" playtime from me.

Had everything I worked on heal away overnight lol. I'd dug into my claim, built a buch of dirt stairs, popped out the side of the mountain and made a party back up. Basic stuff. Tonight I crafted the creating stations and the first axe. A solid hour or two passed just running around gathering resources like it was nothing.

I played for about 90 minutes or so the night it came out. Got the tier 3 Pickaxe, saw station and basic forge made and laid down on my claim, but didn't build anything yet.

Logged on now, and I guess my claim is gone as is my claim flag. /shrug. Alphas.

However, what this has done, is made me a bit more excited for EQNext.

I don't like Smed anymore.

That being said, they are currently working on 3 MMOs at least (EQN, EQNL and whatever their home for SWG players is.)

Give those games their full attention until they're done and then hopefully we can revisit the idea.

Played Wildstar last weekend. Very fun, and would be a definite buy were it not for the subscription fee.

I'm split on Wildstar. I loved some of it, and I disliked parts of it.

I don't think it will dethrone FFXIV for me, personally.

I want to like Wildstar, but just quit after playing it for only an hour with no desire to buy the box and give it the month.

That's more of a chance than I gave ESO though I suppose.

I am starting to think that EQ:Next is my only hope.

I am having some fun with ESO but haven't logged on in over a week. Nothing that makes me want to play it every day. I only spent a couple hours with Wildstar so far and I think I like it but... I dunno, maybe the theme park MMO is just not enough for me anymore. Really looking forward to some new sandbox style games.

I am having some fun with ESO but haven't logged on in over a week. Nothing that makes me want to play it every day. I only spent a couple hours with Wildstar so far and I think I like it but... I dunno, maybe the theme park MMO is just not enough for me anymore. Really looking forward to some new sandbox style games.

If it makes you feel any better (outside of FFXIV, because I use that for my theme park fix. It's wonderfully well done for that) I am still looking for my MMO that I can really call "home" in the same way I did the original EverQuest from '99 to... well... this date still.

Though I don't play it near as much now, I just have a few characters of mine on the Test server because A) It's easy to box, B) You get all expansions C) All accounts on Test server are considered "gold" (paid subscription) accounts.
