Re: Elder Scrolls Online
Kind of, you would have to pay for any "DLC" (it's coming, but hasn't been detailed AFAIK), but the current endgame is free.
ESO plus is $15 a month, with it you get a 10% boost to just about everything (XP, gold, research, etc), 1500 crowns ($15 "worth") per subscribed month (mostly vanity items, but some powerful boosts), and access to all DLC.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
In the little bit of time I got to play I have to say this game is pretty awesome. The graphics aren't phenomenal but as far as everything else went it's a pretty good mmo. I've played quite a few and I can see myself playing this one for quite a long time. The pvp even looks pretty impressive the little bit that I tried. I can definitely see this being a very awesome experience with a group of friends so far I've only played solo besides getting in a group for the pvp. Some missions are easier than others if a huge group of people are doing the same thing, but most of the monsters respawn quickly. I have no complaints so far

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
That's correct, it's free to play after purchasing the base game.
And the PC version was pretty terrible early on, but they kept tinkering and fixing it. It got pretty good earlier this year. When the combat was sluggish and delayed (you'd swing and it would have delayed results, or impacts registered before your animation even played), that was a mess.
This is much tighter, although it's not Skyrim-level single player reaction speeds. It's still most definitely an MMO, but the ability to use any armor set with any class and any weapon is pretty insane.
I've got a Breton fighter on PS4 that's walking around in full heavy armor, sword and shield, but he's a sorcerer. Hit stuff with lighting blasts from far away, shield myself in lightning form to do damage to everything near me, use pierce armor to lower spell resistances, and do this sort of spellsword sort of combat dance. Block with the shield, swing with the sword, throw in some magic, and it's absolutely tearing sh*t up.
So far, I'm having a blast.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I think we need to start up an OS guild so we can all roll together.
When I played this on PC, this game (like most MMO'S) was so much better with a group of friends.

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I knew I shouldn't have come into this thread as I said to myself I'll probably pass only to see how much fun you guys are having. The OS magic strikes again.
I may not get it right away as I'm playing to many games as is but I'll eventually pick it up on PS4.

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I'm sorry that I incorrectly spoke upon ESO Plus. It is NOT a one time $15 fee. It is recurring. So I will pass on that.
