I also received my email. Stoked.

Is curse where you sign up for future openings or are they giving them out now for this weekend?

        Have to have Curse Premium.

I've been in beta for quite a while. Skipping out on the game from here on out, though.

Also, Gerg, that's just a site giveaway promoting the game. Nothing to do with Zeni themselves, in terms of future keys and such. They're a UI/Mod site for most MMOs.

          Gotcha. Yea I've used curse.

Was just curious, trying to get some friends on board. Was hoping for an possibly easier way than waiting on a chance email.

Any reason you're not skipping out? Do you plan on playing when it releases and just skipping the beta?

Skipping out because it's a terrible MMO and its not a worthy entry into the TES series (in that order.)

There is a reason they have their strict NDA in place with 2 months until release, and it isn't a good one.

Wow. That's disappointing. I know a lot of people were worried it's not a true TES game. Having been been brand new to the series starting with Skyrim, I can get past the lore part. Assuming the game is any good.

However I'm not keen on paying a sub. For any game for that matter. But with enough sustained pressure/enough people not signing up, I'm hopeful for a chance of f2p sith micro transactions. A la Planetside 2.

                Re: Elder Scrolls Online

There was no way in hell this was ever going to be a true TES game. I believe they are treating the lore with care, though. That's probably the one good thing I could say.

Give it 6-12 months and I would be fully surprised if the game is not f2p (or at least b2p, since they will still be selling boxed copies for ps4) with micro transactions then.

Just be careful what you wish for. F2P is probably the worst thing to ever happen to MMOs in a long time.

Yea, its pretty bad. I didn't really have any high expectations for this game, and yet I was pretty floored with really how poor it really is. For as much money and time that has gone into this game, its a real poor representation of anything Elder Scrolls related.

I fear that this hurts the name and legacy of the Elderscrolls games.

The only reason I disagree with the bottom part is because, for those that truly care about the series, they know that TESO isn't being made by Bethesda.

I have a feeling the GP will still treat single-player TES games the same. When TES VI comes around people will be foaming at the mouths like they were for TES V.

I went in with the same. I expected middling, mediocre "Standard-MMO-fare" and what I got was... not even close to that in my opinion.

I'd like to think, in this day and age, that certain franchises that HAVE been treated with care (and even those that haven't, to be honest, if they're good enough) are above one bad game. Nintendo is going through an internet blowup about Metroid, though, so who knows.

SWTOR didn't kill off Star Wars MMOs, because if there were another truly good one released the fans (and MMO Gamers) would be all over it. It's just that TOR is kind of a running joke now, like this will become.
