Re: Elder Scrolls Online
So, there's going to be another beta this weekend, and it seems like it's just an ad for the imperial edition since they are unlocking all the special edition and preorder stuff for everybody. Honestly though, I can't imagine any of that changing the game fundamentally for the better.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I tried playing this again. I tried to play Imperial and check out the horse, which are ridiculously expensive in game, and just couldn't do it. The quests are boring, the loot is boring, the world is boring, the combat is boring.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I played a bit of the beta this weekend. I wouldn't say it's a terrible game, I just don't think it's worth $60 up front + monthly fees.
the beta is filled with tons of bugged quest that you can't even finish. you would think for a game this close to the release most of those quest breaking bugs would be fixed.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I felt the opposite way actually. I hated the game first time I tried it, but I gave it another try and it's really grown on me. It's not perfect but to me it's very enjoyable. Just a note I'm not big into MMO's in the first place and I feel like this game has a nice mix of being able to play by yourself or with others if you want.New York Yankees

Not a fan of this title at all and I usually can find something that interests me for a few months in most of the mainstream MMOs.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I wouldn't play it even if it was F2P at this point. There's nothing to draw me in, I rather play Skyrim or Oblivion than stomach the MMO attempt.
I hate to say bad things about a game repeatedly but this one just irks me the most. I think step 1 was their business model to quell any feedback (read: negative) with their NDA. They should have gone with a Guild Wars 2 approach, buy the game and remain online with no subscription. Instead of implementing the Elder Scrolls combat, which can be extremely stagnant, they should have looked at ways to tweak it so it was a hybrid of sorts; Elder Scrolls longtime fans can have something that feels similar but also fresh and improvedLast edited by av7; 03-24-2014, 05:28 PM.Aaron

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I am looking forward to the Sunday start for the 5-day early access, but when I say looking forward to, I mean that only in the sense that I am looking forward to finding out if I will actually be subbing or if I paid for basically a month trial.
I can't argue with the flaws people have pointed out from the beta, they are definitely there. Like I said before, it is probably irresponsible spending, but I just have to give it a chance.
I did play the Wildstar beta the past 2 days, and I have to admit, it, in my humble opinion, is much farther along despite being months away from release, than ESO seems at this point."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I felt a bit different than you do did, JareBear. Maybe it was because I just could not get into Wildstar at all, but ESO felt better to me, even in beta. I was not the biggest fan of it during the beta though, but I did sign up for Imperial edition because I got it 20% off at GMG so might as well I guess. Hopefully it goes for more than just a month for me as I have been looking for an MMO to get into recently.#Lakeshow
