    Re: Elder Scrolls Online

So, I used the repair function on the game launcher, didn't take too long to go through all the files, and so far I have had zero issues since using it. Pretty happy, big difference in my enjoyment when now that I feel like I am making progress again.

    Good stuff

      Re: Elder Scrolls Online

so far through the daggerfall quests, I've ran into 3 quest that I couldn't finish. 2 are in a part where an NPC is supposed to spawn and have a conversation and I'm supposed to listen in, but the don't spawn. the third is one of the quest that have item to destroy, but doesn't spawn. I forgot the quest name, but it's in Rivenspire. I've tried abandoning them and starting over, but they get stuck in the same spot.

the other 2, one was in Glenumbra and Alik'r Desert.

I'll try the repair option, just to see if that makes a difference. but at least for the third issue, that seems to be more on the server side as a lot of people in that area were having the same issue with that quest.

The Elder Scrolls Online First Content Patch Revealed: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/04/...4716f05e000019

Bethesda has revealed the first content patch due to arrive for The Elder Scrolls Online later this month, introducing the zone of Craglorn.

A new video, which you can see below, introduces the Adventure Zone, set to kick off a new storyline and challenging gameplay for Veteran groups between four and 12 players.

Bethesda released an infographic last week, revealing the MMO had over 5 million registrants for the beta. Our review of the title is ongoing.

          Elder Scrolls Online

Few questions for you guys... How fun is this game? The few people I've talked to say it gets boring pretty quick. I put hundreds of hours into Oblivion and Skyrim.

How is the exploring/map in general? That's one of my favorite things on ES games. Can you explore the whole world map? Like the Black Marsh and Valenwood? Are Morrowind, Cyrodiil and Skyrim the same as in their respective games?

How is the music? Kind of a change from my previous questions, but I've always really enjoyed ES music.

I have the game pre ordered and have been (impatiently) waiting for the console release. In general, is the game enjoyable and replayable?

Not what I wanted to hear. Haha. I'm feeling like it isn't nearly as immersive as regular ES games from watching gameplay on Twitch.

I will disagree with Uber on this one.

I heard so much negativity about this game that even though I had beta access, I never bothered to even download it.

However, being a big MMO fan and because I am in the process of creating ideas for my own MMO, I decided to play it anyways and get a general feel for what people liked / disliked in the game.

I came away pretty impressed with what I have played so far and have enjoyed over 100+ hours of gameplay already and don't even have 1 toon above 20 yet.

While there are some issues with some broken quests here and there, a bank dupe that was just leaked, and a disappearing bank inventory bug that happens to some people ( not me yet ), the game itself is very enjoyable.

I've been having a blast with it. Its MUCH better playing with a few buddies. Its definitely not as immersivie as single player TES games but good nonetheless.

A lot of people are down on it but I am truly enjoying it. First MMO I'm not feeling rushed to blaze through. Just taking my time and enjoying the journey.

Like said tho, I play with 2-3 friends at a time and it is much more fun than playing solo.

Then why were you making definitive comments like this previously?

I fear that this hurts the name and legacy of the Elderscrolls games.

I still stand behind that based off of their beta and their lack of pre-release damage control. While I didn't download it and play personally, we had 3 people here that played throughout beta and didn't like it either. What I saw when I watched the game was terrible.

When you are playing a game that is due to release in less than 4 weeks and it appears it has at least another 6 months to a year left to go in development, then you end up dealing with the backlash that comes with it.

The beta for this title turned off many players and Zenimax did nothing to sway damage control. 100s of animations were missing, complete zone files were missing, music cut out throughout the zones, ambient sounds weren't fleshed out, they completely changed the combat mechanics etc.

Can you name a game that had a beta that was due to release within a month and the difference between the beta and the product in your hand was almost 100% better? I cant.

I'm still going to give the game a shot when it comes out. One thing I've noticed is that the hate for the game isn't just your garden variety "meh, this game really isn't that good". From what I've seen (not necessarily here), the hate is so extreme that it's almost laughable. There really isn't any middle ground with this game.

I'm not going in expecting a game with the depth and detail of Skyrim, but I am expecting a fun MMO that I can play both solo and with friends in the ES universe. I've wanted an MMO that I can pick up and dump a few hours into for a while now, and ever since my computer crapped the bed, I'm left with the PS3/PS4 as my only options. FF14 never really grabbed me at all, although I do believe it to be a solid MMO. DCUO was never my thing either. I played it on the PS3 for a month or so last year, and I never had the urge to go back. I prefer my MMO's take place in a fantasy world.

I don't think I'll ever be quite as addicted to an MMO as I was with WoW back 3 or 4 years ago before Cata came out. I would play that for hours on end basically every day. I still get the urge to resub, but with all of the changes that they have made, along with the fact that our laptop likely wouldn't play it all that well, I just stay away.

I think the majority of the hate for this game was because the beta was just so bad that there was no way that anyone thought it could turn around. I cant recall a beta that I had watched people playing, or watched videos of, that was this bad.

Typical bugs and growing pains aside, this game did a complete 180 degree turn from its beta to release form.
