Wow and I thought I was the only one who doesn't smoke or drink. I've been encouraged to try all kinds of different alcholic beverages but they all taste like puke to me! The only exception being a screwdriver.

I've never tried it, I don't think I will ever try it but I can't say for sure.

You're crazy man! I don't binge drink like I did in college, but nothing beats a cold Sam Summer while grilling a steak for dinner.

Never have and never will. My current g/f doesn't smoke and I've only dated one girl that has, never gonna do that again.

No smoking for me; to me it's just not appealing at all. Even if I wanted to, I'd probably kill myself as I have asthma.

I always find it amusing when I read/hear about how people that don't smoke cigs will sometimes smoke if they're around a group of other people that do. Why would they do it? Do they want to fit in better?

I tried cigs when I was in elementary school and that was the last time I had one. I do enjoy smoking cigars though.

I have several people that are close to me that have tried to quit numerous times but can't do it. When I ask them why, the answer is always "I just couldn't do it". Personally I think people that try to quit and can't are a little bit weak minded.

There was talk here about banning smoking on outdoor restaurant patios and the smokers were furious about it. They say they should be able to have a cancer stick where ever they want.

I have a general rule of not allowing people to smoke inside my car.

Tried it back in the 6th grade with a couple of friends. Took a few puffs and said "This is ridiculous". Just wasn't for me nor was trying to fit in with the "cool" crowd. Plus, we were all pretty active with sports so it was rather stupid to put something in your body that could hurt you physically? Also, the thought of my parents finding out frightened me enough.

While I loved college and going to the bars, my biggest regret is having endured second hand smoke for four years. IMO, smoking should be banned in all restaurants and bars.

There's a woman at my work who has smoked for g-d knows how long. 20 something years at least. She'll get to coughing and literally cannot stop. She has trouble catching her breath and it scares the heck out of me.

I would'nt say that a person who tries to stop is weak minded. Its an additiction like everything else. People act as if smoking is the be all, end all single product that ruins your life. I can think of just as many things that can cause bad health or even death. Smoking as well as drinking are just an unnesacry evil if you ask me and thats the reason why many devote time and money to rid of it.

Most non-smokers act like their a special breed because they choose not to smoke and its real annoying when a person says that they dont "like" ppl who do. How judgemental is that? Just because I smoke, that makes me a bad person? It makes me a weak person? I dont get it. There are enough things in life that can kill you so why hate me? Hate guns or better yet, hate the ppl that make guns. So please, would the non-smokers please get off their high horse, step off the soap box and eat a bowl of bacon grease.

                      That is all.

Bad and weak are two different things, although I would say that addiction is a sign of weakness. Most people have a vice or two, so I wouldn't call any smoker a "bad" person, but weak..? I'll give you that.

I never tried smoking anything and I never will. Never tried any drug and I didnt have my first drink until New Years before my 22nd birthday. I hardly ever drink either. I had two drinks when we went out to eat the other night and that was my first since this past New Years.

I have never smoked in my life. The closet thing to alcohol I have drunk was WineCoolers on New Year's Day. I've lost about 5 relatives to either cigarettes or alcohol, so I plan to stay far away from it.

Smoking isn't always about the buzz.

A lot of people smoke for very different reasons. There is a lot more to smoking than dipping. People dip for the buzz, the test, to lose water weight, and "its the safer of the two", while there are probably a hundred common reasons why people smoke.

My school is trying to make it a smoke free campus.. right now its just buildings.. They need all of them in a cage somewhere or a glass igolo to let them get their fix on their own time.
Oh calm down. In the state of Washington a law was passed that you can't smoke anywhere in-doors anymore and have to be like 25 feet from most public buildings.

I don't smoke and I think its BS. For example, here at WSU, when its winter, and its freezing, and there is snow and wind, and a smoker has to stand the the freezing weather to get a smoke? or if its pooring down rain, they an't even stand directly next to the building to be covered. Thats lame.
