Ok I've been reading through this thread for awhile, but since it's so huge can someone tell me the best way to get huge, ripped arms and what supplements are best?

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
A good program to gain mass quickly is HST. You sacrifice some strength gains but you'll gain inches everywhere.
Getting ripped is more about diet than cardio (although cardio really helps kick it into overdrive). I knew a guy that didn't eat any carbs for a few months and he had a 6-pack despite barely doing any ab work.Comment

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
If I were you and you really want to lose more weight I'd make sure you do legs.
I do something every single day. I'm still doing P90X with a small tweak or two.
Mon: Chest/Tri/Shoulders
Tue: Plyometrics
Wed: Back/Bi
Thur: Yoga
Fri: Legs/Chest (don't like doing chest only once a week)
Sat: Basketball

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
I will eventually do a chest/back again but with the chest exercises from weeks 5-8 instead.
I've been doing P90X for three months now and I am missing lifting heavier weights at the gym a little bit. The ability to get in quality workout at home is f'n awesome though, the convenience factor is such a big bonus."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

The good thing about chest/tri/shoulders is that the chest exercises are much harder than the chest/back chest exercises. Between the fast/slow switch push ups, the one-handed push ups and the floor flys I'm absolutely toast.

I love the convenience factor, but I am missing the gym a bit. I strangely am longing for squats and deadlifts. haha. Never thought I'd say that.University of Oregon

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
I just "graduated" from P90X last night. Missed only one Yoga workout over the entire 90 days. Towards the end it was more of a mental grind than anything else to get myself psyched to workout for 6 out of every 7 days for 13 straight weeks, but I am satisfied with the results.
I was right at 175 (down from 185 last summer) when I began and finished up right about 160. I donated blood about 1/2 way through and my cholesterol at that point was already lower than I have ever seen it and I imagine it's even better now. I could only do a few pullups when I started and in my last workout, I was between 15-18 depending on the grip.
I wish my chest was a little more defined, but I may just not see it because I see it every day. However, I am happy with the definition I am seeing in every other muscle group.
My wife went through the grind with me and is in the best shape of her life.
I'm excited to get back to the gym and do some lifts I haven't been able to do for months, but I plan on incorporating many of the workouts from P90X into my daily routine and keeping some of the cardio type workouts in my routine as well (kempo, cardio and core).
The hardest part of the whole thing for me was just the commitment (every weeknight from 8-9 or 9:15). I had to pass on several things (ball games, dinners, etc) as I didn't want to miss a workout at night. I'm excited about being able to go back to my afternoon workouts at our office gym and getting my evenings back.Comment

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
Ok I have been searching for a good work out / diet program to go on.My problem is that right now I work 1500-0100hrs, I come home and usually go to sleep around 3 and up at 1100-1200hrs.
I am a Police Officer and currently have a transfer in to go to midnights which will put me on the 2030-0630hrs shift. Can anyone suggest a good work out program? We have a boot camp work out which I was doing but being on midnights now that impossible.
I guess what I am asking is would it be better to work out at 0630 hours when I get off or come home go straight to bed and workout around 1600 hours when I get up. Which would have the most impact on my metabolism.
Thanks for any help provided.Texas A&M Aggies
