I need to get a scale and I was looking at ones that show body fat percentage which got me thinking...can scales even accurately measure body fat percentage? I know there's a chart that takes into account your age, height, and weight and uses that to determine it and that makes me think that a scale is programmed with that information. Maybe I should get a normal cheap one...

Hmmm...not so sure of this.
Cardio can actually inhibit muscular growth. This is because of how muscle adapts to endurance training. The body adapts to this training by decreasing muscle fiber size. This is because it allows for better gas exchange. With the muscle fibers being smaller, gasses are able to pass from fiber to fiber much more efficiently and quickly. This allows for better, more efficient, gas exchange. This is an adaptation to cardio and endurance training.
Clear example of this is long distance runners. This is the reason why distance runners are ALWAYS so skinny. You never will see a huge distance runner....NEVER.

Any suggestions for relieving tension in the back? I started working out again about a month ago (heavy cardio, little to no weights), just trying to burn some fat I picked up over the past couple of months. Problem is, and I've always had this problem, everytime I workout my mid-lower back is very tight to the point where I have to can't even lay down straight (I have to ease into it).
