    im thinking about doing this... this $70 hit every month to basically only play hoop 3 times a week is killin your boy right now...

      Ya Craigslist is awesome, got a few things for either free or nearly free because the guy was catching heat.

        When I was really on my plyometrics grind I was doing that Air Alert Program. I got to week 9 or 10 and the jumping rope was supposed to do 4 sets of 400. By the last set my forearms used to be on fire. It's such a great exercise thought because it makes your heartbeat pound.

          Yeah, it's great. Jumping rope has to be one of the best and most effective cardio exercises out there, and I've gotten addicted to it lately. I used to take this exercise for granted, but not anymore.

          And wow... 4x400 sounds absolutely ridiculous. I need to do a better job of counting how many I've been doing in my sessions. Your way is likely a better way of measuring progress over time.

            Like I've mentioned before in this thread, you don't need that much time in the gym. If you only spent thirty minutes in the gym, that would be fine.

            The key is constantly progressing, not doing the EXACT same thing each time you go to the gym.

            When you start to see that you're able to do more reps, increase the weight in that exercise. There's no such thing as muscle confusion, just progression. Just don't do the same thing each time your in the gym.

            Each set you should be feeling a burn for the last few sets. You should work till failure to get the maximum stimulus and recruit the most muscle fibers to get the greatest gains in size in the muscle you are targeting.

            Also, avoid overtraining by giving yourself enough rest during the week. Some people won't see gains because they aren't giving their body enough time to recover. Much of the gains seen are during the rest days.

            Increase your protein intake. Simple.

            And once you start reaching the size that you want, just maintain by not progressing in your workout. You also can cut back on a few days, or lower the volume you're doing each week.

                  Agreed. That video is crazy. Floyd Mayweather Jr. makes it look so easy to keep a fast yet consistent pace and rhythm jumping rope.
