Not sure about stores, businesses, etc...but every single school around me (including colleges) is shut down today.

Not sure what part of the state you're in, but everything is open around me except for schools.

Roads are actually really well plowed and salted. My commute was maybe an extra 2 or 3 minutes. However, my Staff is all trying to parlay the snow into a Day Off, so I've had this conversation a few times in the last 90 minutes:

Them: Hey, Clay. I'm not going to try to come in till the roads are better.

Me: The roads I just drove in on? What was wrong with them?

Them: Ummmmmmm... snow.

Me: Oh... you must drive on the shoulder because that's where all the snow is.

Them: I'll be in.

This is fun, I have no idea if the law school is closed. The college is closed, but apparently the college and law school are 2 different things in terms of closing. What sucks is this really only effects me for my 6pm class, I guess I'll know by 2pm.

Unfortunately, not the same here. They are telling people to stay off the roads, accidents everywhere, and when I was out snow blowing, there was 2 inches of snow on the road. It's still snowing hard here, and will for at least the next 4-5 hours according to the weather. Right now, the worst part is the 30mph winds we're having.

Theres about 15 inches here in good ole upstate Ny. Schools said see ya later last nite and work is closed. The big thing here is that its suposed to start snowing at a 3 inch an hour clip soon.Im about 2 hours from where they had 146 inches ,so cant complain.They are saying we will end up with 30 inches. Well got to go snowblow,Happy v day.........

It's been snowing since around 6pm yesterday, and it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. Every single school around here is closed today, including the college I go to. This is the first time the college has been closed in 14 years.

Haha it's the same thing here today. One of my guys lives literally 2 blocks away from our office and he tried to call in. I said "I was just outside, the sidewalks aren't slippery"

As of now, my exam is still today. The Parkway has had accidents literally all day so far. There were 3 by one exit. This sucks. I'm not going to my history class but I may be forced to go to accounting because of the exam. Class is at 1, hopefully he announces it canceled. It's pretty crazy outside with the Ice/Freezing rain.
