I'm in alaska right now for vacation and went to a local brewery. I've been missing one of my favorite beers; Alaskan Amber. It has this hint of chocolate in it and you can really taste the hops in it. And I had a couple hefeweizen's with a hint of bannana in it. Delicious brew.

What was the name of the hefeweizen w/ banana? That sounds pretty intriguing...

Pick up almost any German hefe and you will taste / smell banana. It's a pretty standard characteristic. But this could be something entirely different....

Bud Ice Light is my favorite beer, only in the bottle. But I don't drink it much cuz of the calories. I usually drink Miller Lite in the bottles. With a few Rolling Rocks mixed in for good measure (also in the bottles, I don't drink cans).

What fluffhead just said, I'm not too familar with hefeweizen, but I'm a fan now and its delicious with the bannana flavor. I'm sure your local brewery will have something like that. The store bought Hefe's I get don't have that hint of banana, so it was a nice surprise flavor. I'm going to have to search for it when I go back to Arizona.

As far as regular beer, i'll go with Heinaken. I'm starting to stay away from mainstream stuff because there is so much better out there.

If you're looking for a good banana flavor from a hefe, try Franziskaner's Hefe.

Great Lakes Brewing Company's Dortmunder Gold and their Christmas Ale. In fact, anything Great Lakes makes except their Commodore Perry IPA.

                  It's certainly not a favorite...

but Molson Canadian isn't too bad.

Found a pint bottle at my big liquor emporium...pretty damn good!

yes. I was actually thinking about this the other night. A local pool hall has their beer of the month as Leinenkugels (sp?) for $2 a bottle. You can get the red or the wheat. I had the wheat. It was delicious.

I miss Great Lakes so much. They pulled out of IL because of distributor issue and won't be back for awhile. The Edmund Fitzgerald Porter is easily in my top 5 favorite beers.

To get drunk (on beer not hard stuff) - Icehouse, Steel Reserve, Steel Reserve H2, or any cheap ICE beer.

For taste - St. Paulie Girl, Heineken, Becks, Amstel Light, Michelob Amber Boch, Rolling Rock, Yeungling

For cheap beer - Michelob, Natural Ice, Old Milwaukee, Coors & Coors Light, Miler High Life

My personal all-time favorite beer - PABST BLUE RIBBON. Yes there is nothing like tasting Pabst for the first time. If you can finish your first Pabst, then you are probably gonna make it. Tastes like metal/cheap leftover beer/ and miscellaneous other tastes that are slightly "off".

I refuse to drink - Budweiser, Bud Light, Milwaukee's Best, Milwaukee's Best ICE (UGH), Busch ICE (had some bad experiences w/ this one), Busch Light.

                            NBA - Charlotte Hornets
                            MLB - Cincinnati Reds
                            College Basketball - Wake Forest

LOL. Sorry, this list cracks me up. Mainly because the best of list and refusal list can be changed and you really wouldn't know the difference if it was a blind tasting. I'm not trying to be mean as this entirely opinion based, just found it funny.
