I was looking for something fun to do with my Boston, Miley, this summer and we really got into agility. We've completed a 7-week foundations class and the trainers thought Miley has the potential to go further so they put us in contact with the Huntsville Obedience Training Club to get Miley in their agility system. So we've started a 7-week class there and she is doing really well, she takes to the obstacles great. There's 2 more 7-week classes that we have to complete before we can be sponsored by the club and enter trials, so that's something we are working towards.

Here's a vid my wife made of Miley and I running through some jumps and weaves I made in the backyard. Sometime this fall I will have to build some of the tall A-Frames the dogs run over and a bigger teeter-totter.

This past Friday I bought a German Shepherd. He's four month's old, black and tan and will be huge. I've always liked them.

Thanx Chaos. Well according to our crappy scale he's about 20lbs now. My mom took him to the vet last weekend when I was out of town so I dont know what they weighed him at.

Those are some beautiful Greman Shepards too. They are easily my second favorite dog breed behind Huksies.

I have a female Rottweiler who just turned 8. Best dog in the world. Probably the biggest sissy in the world too. She is a house dog and has been since day one. Their lifespan is 8-10 years old but I think she will go beyond that. She still acts like a puppy.

DUDE!! NO WAY!! My female Rott is the EXACT same way....mine is only 4 however.
To give you an idea.....on the 4th of July...alot of my neighbors were shooting off fireworks,and my dog runs and hides behind our T.V (big screen floor model),during thunderstorms.....ppfftt,she takes off and runs upstairs and attempts to hide,vacuum cleaners?? same thing lol lol.

I will say this though....she is the best dog I've ever had the privilege of being around,she's very affectionate and LOVES to play tug-of-war.
I'm currently looking for a male Rott also,these are truly.....great animals.

Rule #1 - Don't ever buy a pet with a girlfriend... ever ever ever!!! Not smart! Not good! Don't do it!!!

Rule #2 - When you cave in and do it anyway.... get a Golden Retriever... best dog on the planet!

sven, what kind of dog is that? It sorta reminds me of my sisters dog, whos now living at my parents house full time. she was like a baby bald eagle turning from almost all black to a more white primary color

I got a 2 year old German Shepherd from the animal shelter. She's sweet as can be towards people but doesn't like other dogs. Right now we are going to dog training classes though, www.gotk9.com and it's going real well.

She's a monster for a female...over 75 lbs. Only problem is she kills my grass in the backyard from peeing on it...her only downfall even though it's not her fault.

This is roxy. She's 2 and half years old. I plan on getting a french bulldog to be her companion. Anyone ever had one? I'm a real fan of any breed with Bull in it, from pits to english and american bulldogs. But I've always wanted a french bulldog and I think its about time to get one.

I've seen a Schnauzer recently and I have to say... it's one of the best looking dog breeds I've ever seen when well cared for. Absolutely gorgeous.
