Medium well for me...sometimes medium. The worst is trying to eat a steak that looks like roadkill.

There's a GREAT local steakhouse here with a nice Australian feel to it. Best steak you'll ever have. If you're ever in Iowa, check this out.

I would say most restaurants go the other way. Ordering "Medium" is closer to medium well than medium rare.

I know the steakhouse that I work out goes the medium is closer to medium rare route.

Restaurants with a chef that knows what he is doing will go the medium rare route. In fact I have known chefs that refuse to cook a filet or prime cut any more than medium because it ruins the integrity of that cut of meat.

If you want something past medium, just save your money and order the strip, it will taset the same anyway.

I have the same grill, excellent!

Worth every penny. I grill all year round. In the winter you'll find me with the garage door open grilling away. Best $450 I ever spent was on that grill.

I never order steak out. I have a Weber Genisis grill and an excellent butcher around the corner. Filets rare/medium rare with spicy dry rub and a gorgonzola spread melted on the last minute. 3 minutes on each side Maximum heat and they are seared to perfection.

Outback Steakhouse ain't no real steakhouse.

I went to Mastro's in Beverly Hills and had a medium Lamb Porterhouse. WOW.

Best $____ I ever spent on food.
