This new position is actually supposed to be assisting that person. So if they don't train me, I can't help them. I eavesdropped(aka them just talking loud enough for me to hear them, but they don't realize a soft whisper in quiet area is audible) on some of their conversations to friends on the phone and sounds like they want to quit. So probably just me suffering because of whatever issues that person got with their job

I casually asked others around the building some questions and they helped, so I'll just go that route and learn as I go.

Do you for whatever floats your boat.

But don't dare suggest that people stop watching the game of football (or any sport) because you are.

I need to start requesting read receipts on emails to my boss because somehow she doesn't see half of them or if she does see it, doesn't bother reading the whole thing.

I would recommend against doing that and instead just forwarding the original to your manager asking for clarification on whatever you were asking for if it hasn't been answered.

Ya, thankfully it's not busy. But sitting down for 8 hours feeling like this, I might fall asleep lol.

lol ,so much for that. The "i'm not training you" person got annoyed at me for not knowing how to gain access to a work calendar that THEY are responsible for. They go crazy and are all like "I'm not telling you this again so you better remember". And then get mad at me for being in possession of outdated papers. These are what THEY provided me with!? They then refuse to get me updated ones because they dont want to waste paper....

I sent them an email a few weeks ago being like "if you need help with X,Y,Z let me know". They never replied back, so I took it as they didn't need help. Now they're coming at me like "Why didn't you do Y"......

10 weeks left, I'm a good person, I better get through this. I swear, all of this is true. This is just breaking me mentally and really testing me. Any other situation I'd have been looking for a new job already(and MAYBE taken risk of quitting this one BEFORE I get another job), but I'm contractually obligated to be here until end of November and quitting it has worse long term repercussions than the repercussions of staying here.

lol I know I'm annoying people on here and probably having people skip over my posts, but I just need somewhere to vent while actually at work itself.

So.... This is awkward. I got fired.

Had nothing to do with me. They admitted what I said here already that I got hired by mistake by someone no longer employed by them. Took them a few meetings after everyone returned from their vacations to decide what to do, but they said I don't fit any of the new positions they're creating.

Obviously I was getting free money for weeks and this had to end someday, but I thought they would've at least honoured my contract given I signed an extension(with the person who fired me, who wasn't the one I've been complaining about) literally a few weeks ago to stay on until November.

That does it. I'm writing a book. Gotta get money somehow. Who wants to preorder? Lol

Sucks to not have a job, but it sounds like it was mutually beneficial. Time to hit them bricks again.
